Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween my friends!
Are you ready for the tricks and treats tonight?
I am, I get 2 of my grand kids and a nephew. Boo.
I remember the good old days when we'd get dozens and dozens of trick or treaters when I lived in Springfield MO., what fun!
I made this for my co-worker, I can't wait until she see's it, she loves Halloween.
I started by inking up the tag with Distress rusty hinge and dusty concord ink and a blending tool. I had a "stencil" from another project of the Alterations umbrella man, who by the way reminds me of Freddy Kruger, right? Look at the hat and tilt of the head, creeeeepy! I used a bunch of Alterations dies on this tag, to find them all just click the Alterations link below..
I laid the stencil over the tag and stamped the script stamp from Tim Holtz's apothecary stamp set over Freddy ;) then I outlined him with my black marker. I put some tissue tape down one side that I colored with a Copic marker. I used the Alterations sewing room die for the mannequin, I stamped over that too, with the script stamp. I cut out the ladies head from the lost and found paper stack and made her a mask with a piece of the lace from the vintage lace die.
I cut a ticket with the ticket strip die stamped on it and added the 31 from the chip block die. I attached it to the tag with the tiny attacher.
I stamped the bats from Dylusions bits and bats set and popped them up with foam dots.
I gave the tag a spritz with Goosebumps to give it some shine here and there.
I tied the tag on a skull flower pick I got at the dollar store and stuck it in a pint jar filled with candy and tied some ribbon around the top of the jar.
I hope y'all have a great night!

Dear Santa

Back again with more journal pages, surprised?
Not me, I can't seem to stop, I'm possessed. HA!
I broke out Dyan's new Christmas stamps and stencils.
The stamps I used are Dylusions Christmas Accessories, Christmas Words and Ruby Rainbow. I put the deer head from the accessories set onto the body from Ruby Rainbow, perfect match. Her stamps all work good together! I love the words set, so funny, love the attitude! I used a pencil eraser for the deers cheeks.
The stencils I used are 9x12 Let it Snow and 5x8 Oh Christmas Tree.
I used my Micron 08 black pen to trace the string of lights border with the Oh Christmas Tree stencil.
I colored the light border with fine tip water brushes filled with Dylusions inks cut grass and post box red. I need a couple more pens to fill with more colors. I made the light bulbs polkadot with my Gelly Roll white pen.
I used the Let it Snow stencil to traces my snowflakes with. I used my Gelly Roll 08 white pen and my Copic b21 pen. I added Kaiser blue rhinestones to the centers of the white snowflakes.

I made a a little Christmas tree with the pine bough stamps and stamped, cut and colored the ornaments. I colored them in places with my Stardust clear Gelly Roll pen for some sparkle, I wish you could see it better, it's so pretty.
The Archival inks I used for my stamping are jet black, coffee, olive and rose madder.

Happy Saturday!
We had a weather whirlwind yesterday here.
We had 80 degree temps., thunderstorms, hail, wind, after that it was in the 40's.
We have the heat on today, geezz.
I was wondering about the hummingbirds, I saw one flying around out there, poor guy!

Anyway, I've finished another art journal page with a Halloween theme.
This one is all Dylisions, you know it looks like a lot of work, but it's just inking, stamping, and water coloring. No techniques to it really. You just start with blank pages and let it go, ya know? Just whatever comes to mind. That's why I love this type of journaling, thank you Dyan and Ranger :)

I love Dyan Reavely's idea of filling Tim's water pens with her spray inks to do the coloring of the stamped images.
I've put my order in at Inspiration Emporium for more pens and the little funnel thingy to fill the pens with.
The colors I used are, crushed grape, squeezed orange, black marble, melted chocolate and cut grass.

The stamps I used are Dylusions bits and bats, further round the edge, traveling travis, quintessential quotes and right up you street. I got the date stamp at an office supply store. I used Dylusions new starry, starry night 5x8 stencil for the border and white stars. The white stars are covered with rock candy stickles. I usually put tissue tape down the center of my pages, I do this for stability, this is an old flea market journal with pretty thin pages. I can't wait to get my hands on Dyan's new journal!
See the girls eyes and the crow and spiders eyes? I used inkssentials enamel accents for those, I love this stuff it gives so much dimension and shine! I put kaiser rhinestones on their ears. I do all of the doodling and outlining with a gelly roll white and micron black 08 pens.

Well, that's it for today.
