Crafty Pocket & Rocky Squirrel!

I made this pocket card using the images from the Little Dolls Image & Journal Notes Booklet and the new Birthday Kids stamp set from Crafty Secrets. I love that there are numbers in this set to make a card for any age! These are so much fun because the booklet is jam packed with little paper dolls, perfect for the little girls in your life!

I made the little pocket inside to hold the paper dolls and a gift card or cash for the birthday girl!
Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Birthday Kids. Paper - Crafty Secrets Little Dolls Image & Journal Notes Booklet, Classic Paper Pad, SU! Whisper White. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Worn Lipstick, Copic markers. Acces. - 5/8" & 3/4" circle & scallop punches, Dew Drops, SU! ribbon, Stampendous white glitter.

Vicki's Crafty Challenge

Vicki Chrisman challenged the design team, ahhhh, FUN!!! Her challenge was to use images from the new Crafty Secrets Image & Journal Notes Booklet Girlfriends and to use any Crafty Secrets stamp set. A perfect time to alter this mirror I got at a junk store! See how dirty it was, yucko, it took some scrubbing to get it cleaned up!

There was a thin sheet of acetate over the pretty foil paper, I took the acetate and paper out before I started scrubbing. I didn't want to use the foil paper because I knew I would be covering most of it up and I wanted to use Crafty paper. The foil paper was so fragile, it was tearing, so I decided to punch a background piece for the sentiment I used from the Support The Girls stamp set. I glued pink & clear crystals in the holes around the top of the mirror. I attached the big Prima flower that I sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and put a big pink crystal brad in the center, tied the ribbon on the handle, done!
Be sure and go check out some of the other design team blogs and see what they did!
Heidi Blankenship, Lisa Zappa, Marisa Grossman, Vicki Chrisman and Vivian Peters.

When black cats prowl...

...and pumpkins gleam, may luck be yours on Halloween. Ewwwwww, SPOOKY!!!

Here's another card I made using Anna Wight's Spooky Expressions set by Whipper Snapper Designs. This one is made with the little stamps in this set, they were the perfect size for what I had in mind. I used my 3/4" & 1" square punches for the images, stamped, colored and I put Glossy Accents over them to give them shine and dimension. I really like this paper it's Halloween Words by Junkitz. I will be cutting some of the words and phrases out for cards and charms, love the white words on the black background.

Awww, isn't this little witch adorable?? She looks like she's about to cry, poor thing Ü

Have you seen the new Crafty Secrets Halloween set? The cutest vintage Halloween images are in this set!

I'm thrilled that Sandy made this set, it goes great with the Halloween Image & Journal Notes Booklets!

See the pin top, I punched a circle starburst out of black card stock with my Martha Stewart starburst punch. I stamped the post mark and punched it out with a circle punch and put Ranger Crackle Accents on it and let it dry overnight. I glued it to the pin top and tied the ribbon on, I stuck it through the main image, done!

Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Halloween Fun. Paper - Earthy Paper Pad, Georgia Pacific white, SU! Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic markers, Spica clear glitter pen. Acces. - Stickles, Ranger Crackle Accents, pinking shears, straight pin, photo corners, lace and ribbon from my friend Lisa Zappa, tracing wheel, Dimensionals.

These are the pins I use, you can find them anywhere that sells sewing supplies. They are flat and easy to glue things on to.

Whipper Snapper Designs Hocus Pocus & Spooky Expressions...

...illustrated by Anna Wight, and boy, are these ever cute stamps! I love Halloween and these folksie characters make me smile!! The sentiments are so unique and fun, this is Anna at her finest!
Make sure you check out the other designers samples! Anna Wight, Carol Halvorson, Trudee Sauer
, Leslie Miller & Jami Sibly.

These witchie legs are a hoot, the hairy, prickly legs, the little ghost is horrified, LOL! I stamped the broom and then I made the bottom out of black crepe paper. The black photo corners are vintage from my friend Lisa Zappa . The ribbon was black & ivory, I colored it with a dark orange Copic marker, great Halloween ribbon now! I cut the waves in the papers with my Creative Memories decorative edge trimmer.
The bat on the tag is embossed with black EP and he has googlie eyes. I cut him out and adhered him with a Dimensional. I cut out the piece of candy corn, it has Glossy Accents on it. The Prima flowers have Stickles on them. I colored the large Prima flower with a Copic marker so it would match. The witchie shoes, hat and button have Martha Stewart black glitter on them. It was a nightmare trying to find the candy corn for the jar! I looked all over Clinton and finally found some at Harvest Foods, geeez, I thought Wal-Mart would have them or the dollar stores, nope.

Supplies: Stamps - Whipper Snapper Designs Hocus Pocus & Spooky Expressions by Anna Wight. Paper - SU! Basic Black, Lavendar Lace, Georgia Pacific white, Daisy D's pattern paper from my LSS. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, VersaMark, SU! Lavendar Lace, Pumpkin Pie, Copic markers. Acces. - tag, black hemp, black EP, black brads, googlie eyes, Prima flowers, Stickles glitter, Martha Stewart black glitter, black vintage photo corners from LZ, black button, black rick rack, ribbon, Ball jar, candy corn, Glossy Accents, Tim Holtz ruler and piercer, Creative Memories decorative trimmer.

Look at the loot that my friend Lisa Zappa sent me, HOLY COW, I'm in vintage trim heaven! Love the pom-pom trim, so many colors to play with, YIPPEE!!
Last time I went to my mom's I went to Ritsy Rags and picked up the vintage rick rack and this cool button book, it's full of the cutest button jewerly patterns. I can't wait to give it a try! I got the orange wooden tool box out of my dad's shop. I'm going to paint it and use it for supplies.
Don't forget to go and check out the other Whipper Snapper featured designers samples on their blogs. If you love all things Halloween, you have to add these cute sets to your collection!

Love the bottle caps and necklace..haven't tried that yet!My favorite custome was from a few years ago, when I went as the woman (whose name I forget now) from the movie The Birds! I found a suit just like the one she wore at a thrift store, and bought small black crows at Joannes..glues them to my shoulder, hair, one on my shoe, ripped my stockings, bandaged my head..it was awesome...my sisters also used that costume at parties they went to! Fun memories!

Here are some bottle caps I altered with images from the Halloween Image & Journal Notes Booklet. The images in this booklet are the sweetest vintage Halloween images, I'm so happy to be able to find all of these sweet images in one booklet!

I spray painted the bottle caps with black spray paint, punched the images & glued them in the caps. I cut some words from my old dictionary & glued them on the images along with some beads and tiny punched flowers with Stickles in the center of them. Then, I filled the caps with Glossy Accents, let them dry over night and I glued Tim Holtz pin balez and a magnet on their backs.

more of the TX trip...

I've got more pic's to share with you from TX!

Judy brought the supplies for us to make these bracelets, the one on the left, they were so simple and fun! She bought the chain and clasps at Hobby Lobby I think it was and we punched circles out of pattern paper to go on the SU! Build a Brads. We folded the the brads through the chain and tucked them in with jewelry pliers.

Judy made the bracelet on the right, she made the beads from glass, it is so pretty, I love it!! She sells them too, maybe she'll get them on Etsy soon!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These pictures are at Booger Red's where we ate and pictures in Tex's studio.
Ron & Tex
Me and Kristi, owner of Hanna Stamps.
Judy Workman, look at that smile! Every time someone pointed a camera at her she flashed that smile, cracked me right up!
Sherry Cheever, me and Shannon Tompkins.
Anna Wight, Sherry Cheever, me.
Look at Kristi in her pink cowgirl hat, isn't she cute?!
The girls in the studio.
Here's Jessica Witty, Tex's daughter, she's a doll! She came and made a bracelet with us.
Me and Tex had the Spit-Roasted Pig, mmmmmmm!
Well, it's Friday, hallelujah!! I'm looking forward to the weekend, it's been so busy at work this week, sheesh.
I hope y'all have a super weekend, thanks for stopping by!
