Here's another card with Whipper Snapper's new Blossoms & Butterflies and Blooming Expressions sets by Anna Wight! I decided I wanted to do a SCS challenge card. I went to the color challenge that Emily hosts every Tuesday and I loved the idea of using a soon to be retired SU! In Color, CC177, for this weeks challenge. The colors she choose were Whisper White, Sahara Sand & Groovy Guava. Be sure and click on the CC177 link above, you can play too!
I wanted to do all white flowers so I picked out the flower stamps that I thought would be white. I stamped the flowers on the Sahara Sand, then using Craft White or Pine White as some of us call it *grin*I colored the flowers with a small paint brush. The sentiment says count your blessings one petal at a time.
Supplies: Stamps - Whipper Snapper Designs Blossoms & Butterflies & Blooming Expressions by Anna Wight. Paper - SU! Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Groovy Guava. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic markers (leaves, stems, butterfly, flower centers) SU! Groovy Guava, Inkssentials white pen (faux stitching) Spica clear glitter pen. Acces. - SU! circle and border scallop punches, Groovy Guava ribbon, Tim Holtz poker and ruler, Dimensionals.

What's shaken bacon?
Here's Riley on his tractor doing a little farm work. This stamp is a hoot and so is the new sentiment set by Hanna Stamps! It was a toss-up on which one to use, this one or "Well, this day was a total waste of makeup" hee hee!
The edge of the card is hinged, the screw brads go through the front & back of the card and the front is scored so it opens like a book.
Supplies: Stamps - Tractor Riley, Just what I meant to say (sentiment), Spring Time Hanna (grass), Tis the Season (trees), Route 66 (clouds). Paper - Basic Grey Motifica, SU! Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Georgia Pacific white. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic markers. Acces. - silver screw & plain brads, large silver eyelets, black Magic Mesh, dotted Grungeboard (colored with a black Copic), ribbon, staples, Dimensionals, Ranger Glossy Accents on the tires.

Look at my new old Hoosier cabinet. Me and Terry had been looking for a cabinet to go in my kitchen. We went to Batesville, about an hour away and spotted a sign that said "Antiques" with an arrow pointing down the highway, so we took off. This is the BEST antique shop I have seen in a long while, everything in there was right up my alley! I'm looking forward to going back again soon. If you're in the area the name of it is Arkansas Antiques and Collectibles, it's on Hwy. 167 South in Batesville.
I didn't have to do a thing to this, it was already painted white, just what I was looking for! It has the flour bin and sifter and the pull down roll top thing, I don't know what the name of that is?? It's in the middle there and you can pull it down to close it up. The top work surface is enamel and it has 2 drawers and 2 doors under those with plenty of storage space. I can imagine some lady rolling out pie crusts on this long ago....
On the 2 shelves behind the glass doors I put this border lace, I got for cards & altering, but, I knew it would be perfect on the shelves. On the top right is my Grandma's enamel pan, bucket and dipper. I remember that sitting on her counter, she would go get water from the well and put in this bucket for drinking water, take the dipper and dip it in for a fresh drink. The lamp on the top left belonged to my Great Grandpa Berry, it has flowers painted on it, it will not hold lamp oil because there is a hairline crack in it, but, I love it just the same!
The 7 Up clock belonged to my aunt and uncle, I bought it from my aunt at a yard sale she was having long after they sold the store. Their store was way out in the country, it was a general store, they sold a little bit of everything in that store from food, to gas to feed to fabric. I loved coming to AR. and staying with them when I was young, you got to see everyone that came into the store and play with the kids while their parents shopped. The clock has quit running once since I've had it, and I found a man that got it running for me again. All I do is change the bulbs when they go out, it's a great night light too.
It's things like this that mean so much to me and keeps a part of my family near me.
I hope you have a memorable day, thanks for stopping by!

How do you like my new blog banner at the top?
I just love it, aren't the white Japanese irises beautiful? My friend Bethie from Freckled and Fun designed it for me! Take a guess where the picture of the irises came from? Monet's garden in France, yep, Bethie took this picture while they were there this summer, how cool is that?!!
I hope y'all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

I made a garden journal with a matching card. I used my Bind-it-All for the first time I've had it for awhile and thought I would give it a try. I put grid index cards inside for drawing garden plans, etc.
The sentiment on the journal says All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today, so pretty! The sentiment on the card says Thoughts of you.

Fairies & chit chat
I was at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and I got this paper weight for $1, it's dated 1983 & says Avon in the glass. It's domed and I knew what I wanted to do with it the moment I saw it! I've been admiring Vicki Chrismans little fairies she's been making in the wooden spools and I wanted to make some. I got these 2 pictures of me and my brother and scanned them. The one of me was taken in our yard when we lived in High Ridge, outside of St Louis. I was sitting on a blanket, looking up and taking in the fresh air, LOL! I used various Crafty Secrets stamps for the crown, hat, wings and wand.
I stamped the wings on paper from the Radiant Paper Pad and cut them out.
Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Party Queen (hat), Altered Art (wand), Favorite Fellas (Troy's crown), Cherubs (wings). Paper - Crafty Secrets Radiant Paper Pad. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain and Copic markers from Hanna Stamps, ePaperie or Ellen Hutson. Acces. - pink pom-pom, pink Martha Stewart glitter, rick rack, Dimensionals, Crystal stickers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my birth announcement. My mom had sent it to her sister when I was born and my cousin gave it to mom not long ago, I am so thrilled to have it! The book on the card front opens and my picture is inside. The card opens and my birth info is inside. In the hospital they put a little bea bracelet on my wrist that had my last name on it. Hmmmmm, where did I put that?!
