Zoooooom Riley!

Hi there!
Well it's Monday back to the ol' grindstone for me. The upside of that is it's a short work week, Do y'all realize we're on the down hill slide to Christmas? Can you believe it?!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is a Riley card I did using the new Car Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps. I just had to paper piece his car and put in the silver eyelet hubcaps! He looks so cute in his scarf flying behind him. I used my red Spica glitter pen on it. I used paper from the Cosmo Cricket Get Happy pad and the little car on the paper was perfect!
Supplies: Stamps - Car Riley by Hanna Stamps. Paper - Cosmo Cricket Get Happy Paper Pad, Georgia Pacific White, Basic Black & Real Red. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic markers & Spica glitter pens from Hanna Stamps, ePaperie & Ellen Hutson. Acces. - slit punch, scalloped scissors, Ranger Glossy Accents on the tires, large silver eyelets, ribbon, star brad.
Don't these cherries look yummy?! They sure were I got a bag of them to snack on.
When I was taking the picture I thought of the little ditty "Life is just a bowl of Cherries". I was curious so I googled it and Free Dictionary said
it's something that you say which means that life is very pleasant. I also found out it's a song title, a very old song...take a look and listen here.
It's a great video about the song, love the old images!
I hope y'all have a great week, thanks for stopping by!
Pregger Sophie & Riley Tag Card!
I made this tag card using 4 of the newly released Riley & Sophie stamps by Hanna Stamps! You see, it tells a story...
Sophie is preggers, Riley takes up knitting moose-baby clothes, Sophie's in labor, and Riley is walking the new moose-baby in the buggy!
Ahhh, such is life!
Look at Riley knitting, isn't that cute? If you're a knitter you need this stamp, it's adorable! I paper pieced the chair and the knitting project. The get well stamp has a thermometer hanging out of her mouth, I omitted that.
Look at moose-baby peeking out, soooo sweet!!
Supplies: Stamps - Pregger Sophie, Knitting Riley, Get Well, Buggy Riley by Hanna Stamps. Paper - SU! Groovy Guava, Georgia Pacific white, Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic markers from Hanna Stamps, ePaperie or Ellen Hutson. Acces. - flower & scalloped oval punches, Creative Memories oval cutter, buttons, vintage glass Art Glitter, alpha chipboard, eyelets & ribbon.
Make sure and go check out the new Riley's & Sophies the design team have done. They are in the PJ party thread in the Hanna Stamps forum over at Splitcoast, the new stamps are being released tonight, just wait, you'll really get a kick out of them!!
birthday themed atc swap & chit chat
My friend Stevie is hosting an ATC swap. I love when she does this with our group, the ATC's are always superb and I can't wait to see them all.
Her theme for this swap is birthday, and use an inchie in the design. I had the perfect set for this, Happy Birthday by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper. The images are fun and the little cupcake and sentiment was a perfect fit for the inchie.
I stamped the balloons on paper from Daisy D's, cut them out, adhered them and drew in the little strings. The party hat is stamped on GP white card stock, colored with Copics and cut out.
Supplies: Stamps - Happy Birthday. Paper - SU Tempting Turquoise, Georgia Pacific White & Daisy D's Brighten My Day 8x8 paper pad. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Copic & Spica markers. Acces. - Stampendous Dot Sparklers in orange, ribbon, Dimensionals, 1" square & scalloped circle punches.
Some time ago my son and DIL bought an antique dresser. This plastic jewelry box was inside one of the drawers. Isn't it so cute, shabby and pink? This sticker is on the end of the box, it must of had makeup or toiletries in it at one time.
This is the best part though, look what was inside! Yep, this was still in the box, can you believe that?! Most of these are pairs of earrings and several pins.
Here's a close shot of some of the pretty jewels.
I hope ya'll have a great week, thanks for stopping by!
Fathers Day
Fathers Day is just a few days away and I thought I would share my tag card I made for Terry, shhhhhhhh.
I used the new Fishing Buds set from Crafty Secrets, aren't those images the sweetest!!! I love the Crafty kewpies and these are perfect for guy cards, etc.!
To make the tag card I used a piece of 12x12 SU! textured River Rock cardstock. I cut it 4 1/2 x 12 and scored every 3" and accordian folded it up. To make the curved big scallops along the top, I used my rose paperweight. I traced it on the folded card and cut all the layers out at once with scissors. You could use anything you have, a coffee cup or glass would work.
Supplies: Paper - SU! River Rock, Georgia Pacific white, Crafty Secrets Earthy Paper Pad. Stamps - Fishing Buds, Kewpies, Hardware, Favorite Fellas all by Crafty Secrets. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic markers & Spica glitter pens from Hanna Stamps, ePaperie or Ellen Hutson. Acces. - Sweet Chips diecut shapes chipboard, debuting at CHA in July!. Gingerbread Glimmer Mist, big & regular size SU! eyelets, Tim Holtz ruler & poker, gold embossing powder, pinking shears, buttons, ribbon, Crop-a-dile, sponge dauber.
Look at this ones cute expression, after he caught the big fish, cute!!!
I think this image is my fave! Love the turned around and smiling!
Here is another iris picture I took right after a rain shower.
I love the water drops on the bloom.
chairs, tic tac toe & Ritsy Rags
Oh man, I have SO MUCH to share today, from paint to games to Ritsy Rags!! LOL!
Remember my chairs in this post I got for Mother's Day from my son & DIL? Well, I decided to have them painted. We had them sandblasted and Terry took them to Heber Springs where our nephew has a body shop, how lucky am I, huh? He told me he had a camera of some sort that he could take a picture and match the paint to it. I picked out this yummy pink from my Prism swatch book and cut a piece of cardstock for him to match it to, it's perfect!! He's going to paint the arms, legs and design in the back of the chairs white. He said something about inlaying our names.....I wonder if he can paint irises?! LOL! I can't wait to see them, I'll take a picture when I get them back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a tic tac toe board I got at a flea market and covered with some Crafty Secrets paper and the new Journal Booklets. It was painted and looked bad, I new it would be pretty in the Crafty papers! I added some feet to it with my wooden spools, I painted everything first and then put the paper on with Mod Podge, then I added rick rack, ribbon and buttons.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I went to Mtn. View Saturday and I went to Ritsy Rags, of course!
Hi Rene' I finally remembered to ask her if I could take some pictures and my little camera I carry in my purse was almost dead, so I had a hard time...pfffft! Oh well, I got some pretty good ones.
I wish you could see this table and chairs IRL, the top of the table is a pink laminate like the tables from the 50's & 60's, it's so shabby and just gorgeous! Too bad it's not for sale
The building used to be a bank and this is the door to the vault. Inside are shelves of fabric, LOVE this vault, so cool!
Look at this pan of buttons, I'm in heaven!!
I picked out a scoop of pink ones!
If you are ever in or near Mtn. View you have to check out Ritsy Rags, she's on Main St., tell her I sent ya! Super cute store filled with all things quilting, fabric and wool crafting, antiques and gifts! Rene' does classes too, she's doing one now making aprons from your old jeans, they are too cute!
Have a happy Monday and thanks for stopping by!
Bookworm Hanna sneak peek and stuff
I've got another sneak peek to show you. This is the new Bookworm Hanna Stamps set that's going to be released this coming Friday, June 6! There will be a release party over on Splitcoast tonight, you need to go on over and join the party!
Doesn't she look all cozy in her comfy chair with her coffee and a book? I used the sentiment from the Daisy D's Brighten My Day 8x8 paper pad, "simple pleasures", to me reading in a comfy chair with a cup of coffee and a good book is a simple pleasure! I took the floor lamp stamp and the table stamp and made a lamp table out of it.
Supplies: Stamps - Hanna Stamps Bookworm. Paper -SU! So Saffron, Daisy D's , Georgia Pacific white. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic's and a Spica clear glitter pen from Hanna Stamps, ePaperie or Ellen Hutson. Acces. - slit, 2 flower & corner punches, brown Stickles, button , ribbon, tracing wheel.
We have 2 cats and this is Alley, she loves living outside, she's an avid hunter. I'm always finding little treats in my yard poor little bunnies...ugh. I was outside taking pictures of some irises a couple of weeks ago and noticed this mocking bird dive bombing her, and she wouldn't do a thing but stop and meow when the bomber would hit her. I got a good picture of the bird because Ally was close to me and the bomber would not leave her alone. I can't believe Alley hasn't tried to catch him yet, the bird pesters her constantly, she must like him!
Here's another iris, isn't it pretty?
I hope you have a happy day, thanks for stopping by!
