Pat the Dawg House treat

Good Friday eve morning!

This is Friday for me, YIPPEE!! We are going on a little trip to Branson Friday, we're taking the 2 oldest grandkids with us for a little fun and shopping!

I wanted to use the Our Craft Lounge Pat the Dawg House set again. I made a card and a treat pouch for someone who's in the dawg house.

The card is 3 x 6, it will fit in a regular 3 5/8 x 6 1/2" envy.

The pouch is a simple treat cover. Cut your card stock 11 1/2 x 4", score at 1 1/2, 6 & 7" then fold.

I used my new Peony Nesties from Spellbinders, I can't wait to use these with some Grunge paper!! Here's a close up of the Sparkly Fluff on the Pat the Dawg. I love this fluff, I'm always looking for ways to use it!
This is the inside of the pouch, I got some Sugar Babies, I haven't had those in a long time, they are as good as I remember! I stuck the candy in the pouch with my ATG gun.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Pat the Dawg House & Pat the Bad Dog. Paper - My Minds Eye Just Dreamy 2, Pumpkin Pie & GP white. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Spiced Marmalade, black Spica Glitter Pen, Copic markers. Acces. - small cello bag (for candy), Sugar Babies, Sparkly Fluff Brown Sugar, lace flower, shank button, ribbon, Makimg Memories clip, Stampendous Dot Sparklers orange, brad, dog house charm,(Hanna Stamps has all of their charms 50% off!!) tiny tag. I did some masking on this card. The cheese chunks and mouse are masked. I paper pieced this little guys suit. Some of the mice in the set are looking up, so I had to make a tall cheesecake Smiley from millan.net

I bought this cabinet at our new antique/flea market here in town. I've never seen one and thought it was so cute and handy for the laundry room! It's wood and looks handpainted. The picture isn't the best, the light wasn't very good in my laundry room, I did use the flash on the open shot. The doors open and you pull out the rack to hang your delicates on to dry, I love it!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll leave you with a red lily from my yard. See the rain drops? I'm afraid the rain has stopped for the summer. We will start watering almost daily now. When the temps get in the high 90's with no rain, things burn up fast!
It's supposed to be 99 today Smiley from millan.net stay cool people!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Sew Special pocket

Good evening my blogger buds!

I had a nice weekend, I did a little shopping in
the new flea market here in Greers Ferry, WOOHOO, we finally have a nice place to browse
right here! They were trying to talk me into renting a booth there, I think it would be fun, but, I worry about the winter months here. This town is pretty much a ghost town in the winter. I'd hate to pay rent on a booth and not sell anything. I'm still on the fence about it. I sure could get rid of some stuff though!

I picked up a little advertising sewing kit for .10 at the thrift shop in Clinton. I decided I would use my Crafty Secrets You're Sew Special stamp set and make a pocket card with a tag inside.I think it would make a cute little gift for a friend.

The pocket is made with a sheet of the double sided paper from the CS Radiant Paper Pad. I love using this paper for pockets, both sides of the paper are visible, I added a small piece of music paper from the same pad. I made the lace flower in the center of the yummy May Arts gingham ribbon.
I used a Tim Holtz mask and blended Distress inks on the tag. I love the fun stamps in this set, the pin's, zipper, dress form, buttons and sentiments, I love it! I sprayed the whole thing with Snowflake Glimmer Mist, to give it a little sparkle.
Supplies: Stamps - CS Sew Special, SU! Itty Bitty BG (splatter stamp). Paper - CS Radiant Paper Pad, SU! Confetti White. Ink - Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick. Acces. - flat pearlsnk, buttons, pins, Sweet Chips Chipboard Die Cut Shapes, May Arts ribbon, handmade lace flower, pink felt flower, pink Martha Stewart bakers twine, ad sewing kit, Snowflake Glimmer Mist. Tools - Tim Holtz Flourish Mask, blending tool, Scor-Pal, sewing machine, tag corner punch, circle punch, Zutter Round-it-All.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the goodies I got at the new market here in town. A melon baller, I'm going to use it for a glitter/embossing powder spoon. A piece of red & white gingham fabric, I'll make some flowers out of that, the same way I gather lace to make flowers, I'll cut strips of the fabric and gather it. I like to make these when I'm watching TV. A set of coasters, they are gorgeous, the lady said they were paper mache' and they are stamped Japan on the bottom.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have happy week!
SCS Featured Stamper is....
my friend Kisa! Yep, she's this weeks Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast.
I've been Smiley from millan.net over her galley and I finally picked out a card to CASE, that's all you have to do to play in the challenge! Go to Kisa's gallery and pick out your card, CASE it and upload it to your gallery and link it in the FS forum, easy peasy!
I had fun with this card, I used the Our Craft Lounge, Pat the Dawg House set. I stamped the main image several times to get the bones, I cut them and piled them in the doghouse and popped up some of the ends with dimensionals. I made the dog sign the same way, I stamped one of the sentiments that had dog in it (I taped off the other words in the sentiment so when I inked it up the other words wouldn't ink up too, then I pulled the tape off before I stamped it) in the little sign on the doghouse, cut it out and popped it up. I put a Prima flower over the little stamped flower in the image.
This is the inside of the card. No bones about it, what cute sentiments for a dog lover, huh?
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Pat the Dawg House. Paper - MME Penny Lane, GP white (Wal-Mart), Notecard from Hero Arts. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic markers. Acces. - Glossy Accents, ribbon, Prima flower, Adorn-it gem, brads. Tools - classic scalloped rectangle Nestie, Marvy scalloped punch, hole punch, slit punch.
Here are a couple more pictures of my creative mess room, this white shelf was a Pottery Barn purchase a couple of years ago, me and my friends jumped on it when they went on sale, it was almost free Smiley from millan.net This is the top of one of my shelves. The cases are used for storage, the hot box case has vintage lace and ribbon in it. I'm always picking it up at sales and flea markets, I sure don't want to run out of it Smiley from millan.net
I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!
Crafty Secrets DT Challenge & irises
Sandy Redburn, owner of Crafty Secrets wanted the DT to do a birthday challenge. We could make anything as long as it had a birthday theme. I decided to make a gift box and card.
I used a big matchbox and covered it, inside and out with paper from the Crafty Secrets Classic Paper Pad. I sprayed a paper doilie with Gingerbread Glimmer Mist and glued it to the side of the box. I started adding the embellishments tto the top. The aqua velvet flowers, buttons, ribbon and crystal swirl. I made the lace flower by gathering the the lace and I glued on the tan felt flower and button. I stuck 2 pins in the flower. I punched 4 butterflies from Crafty Secrets paper and glued them on the white cotton string. I sandwiched the string between 2 butterflies, then I added some crystals down the center. The tag with the sentiment on it is a white tag sprayed with Patina Glimmer Mist.The card is made with the same materials, I made a smaller lace flower and I used a Sweet Chips chipboard frame sprayed with more Patina Glimmer Mist for the Happy Birthday sentiment. The sentiments are stamped with the Crafty Secrets Card Sentiments stamp set.
The coursage pin is covered with glue and then dipped in white gold glitter.
Make sure you check out the other design teams blogs for their birthday challenge creations --->Vicki, Anna, Lisa, Heidi, Marisa, Vivian, Michele, Linda, Melisa, and Michelle.
Anna is hosting a Crafty Secrets give away on her blog too, the winner wins a Crafty Secrets $30 gift certificate from Sandy Redburn, WOOHOO!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought I'd leave you with a couple of iris pictures from my mom's yard.
I have a terrible case of poison ivy Smiley from millan.net I've had a shot and taken the dose pack for it and I still have it. I don't know why it's so hard to get rid of this timeSmiley from millan.net do you have any suggestions on how I can get rid of it?? I'm all ears!!
Have a great Monday, thanks for stopping by!
There is a sketch challenge going on over at Our Craft Lounge, check it out here and play along, you could win a stamp set!!
This is the card I made for the challenge using Going Gourmet. I really think this is apples instead of lemons but, we can change it up, I wanted lemons for lemonade! This is a great set to go vintage on if you want to, I LOVE me some vintage and Marianne, one of the illustrators can do it, that's for sure!!
I took the picture outside on one of my plants on the deck, I think it turned out pretty cool!
I'm going to take pictures of my creative mess room Smiley from millan.netand share a few now and then. This is a picture of my work area, right here, right now. I like to keep stuff I use on a regular basis close at hand, can you tell?? My room is very eclectic, I surround myself with stuff that makes me happy that I've picked up here and there. I'm sure it might drive some crazy, but, not me!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had to bring this outside to get a good picture. It's a crocheted dress and hat I picked up at a flea market, isn't it the cutest thing? I crochet, but I've never done something like this, I've done, afghans, potholders, flowers, scarves and such.

Meet the Our Craft Lounge DT!

Smiley from millan.net Good Monday morning!
I'm so excited to tell you the news about Our Craft Lounge. We have a new design team and some fun things to do over at the OCL forum!

First of all let me show you my tag I made with the Going Gourmet stamp set. The wine bottle, grapes and cheese images in this set are what I used to make this tag to put on a bottle of wine for a gift. I used the little swirl and grape strip stamps for the background.

I made the lace flower by stitching the edge of the lace and gathering it to form the flower. I colored a white Prima flower with a Copic marker to match. The lace flower is glued to a scalloped cardstock flower I cut with my Big Shot and die. The tag is sponged with Ranger Distress inks and stamped, there is patterned paper on it and the 2 images are popped up.

I cut some paper & card stock with the SU! Bigz Top Note die and put across the bottom and a piece along the side in green.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Going Gourmet. Paper - GP white, MME Penny Lane, SU! Eggplant. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Antique Linen, Shabby Shutters, Dusty Concord, Milled Lavendar, Copic markers. Acces. - tag, lace, Glossy Accents (on the wine bottle and glass images), white cotton string, tiny white tag (For you), dangly crystals, button, Prima flower, ribbon, SU! big eyelets (top & bottom of tag). Tools - Big Shot, Bigz Top Note & Bigz Pennant (flower) dies, tracing wheel, Tim Holtz blending tool.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, now I can talk about the new OCL design team, WOOHOO, I'm so excited to be working with this great groups of ladies, major talent going on here! I'll list them here, go check them out!
The OCL girls - Cami, Joy, Kimberly, Debbie (OCL Illustrator) & Marianne (OCL Illustrator).
You need to check out the fun stuff going on over at OCL! There will be a June Sketch Challenge with the winning upload recieving an OCL stamp set, check it out here and a 5+1 swap, how fun! There will be a Spotlight Set of the Week too, look for that in the forums!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was out in my yard getting a picture of the hot pink rose bush and this mocking bird in the cedar tree was giving me grief!
I found out why, look at these 2 babies in the bush, this bush is a huge climber and there is a nest in there somewhere. I would think that would be a painful place to live with those thorns, but, momma bird may have chose that bush for that reason, the thorns might keep critters out of the nest!
This rose bush has clusters of tiny bright pink roses, I think I found the perfect one.
I hope you have a great day, have fun blog hopping today!
Thanks for stopping by!
