Flapper Fashions

Happy Friday!
I've got a flapper girl to show you today. This stamp set is by Artistic Outpost and it's called Flapper Fashions, I just checked over at Inspiration Emporium and it looks like they sold out right now. You can contact them to see when it's available again or head over to Artistic Outpost and find it there.
I stamped the lady on cardstock with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink and stamped her again on paper from the MME Stella Rose 6x6 paper pad. I cut out her dress and paper pieced it on the girl. I colored her skin and hat with Copic markers.
I added Ranger Distress ink in Vintage Photo, Bundled sage, Broken China and Rusty Hinge to the tag with my blending tool. Then I used 2 stamps from the set, the flapper words and the flower border, I stamped the border 3 times on the bottom of the tag, I colored some tissue tape with Copic markers and put it on the side of the tag. I think it's so cool that you can color this tape any color you need with the Copic's!
I cut the Sizzix Alterations Mini Tattered Floral flower twice and added a black vintage button threaded with black twine to the center. I cut 2 hearts from the Mini Love Struck die and adhered them to the end of the tissue tape. I had a piece of the paper lace that I had cut with the Vintage Lace die and put it along the egde and added the Kaiser pearls on each scallop.
I adheared the girl to the tag, oh, I colored her necklace and bracelets with my Stardust Gellyroll pen and put a tiny Kaiser rhinestone on her ear for her earring.
I stamped and cut out the Jazz-Age and mounted it with foam dots.
I added the vintage photo corners to the bottom and some May Arts ribbon at the top of the tag.

Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Ranger Adirondack Bottle, SU! Chocolate Chip marker, Creative Memories gold pen. Here are a couple of pictures of some irises in my yard. The top one was a surprise, I don't remember planting it! The bottom is an old fashioned one, they are small but still so pretty!

I hope you have a great day! I'm in serious need of some vitimin D, I'm getting cranky!
It is SO soggy around here....geeeeez.

my friend and a fridge atc!

Hi there blogging buds!

I wanted to share a 6x6 scrapbook
page I made for my sweet friend
Maria, she has the book now, so it's OK to share. Several of her friends made pages for the book. She's had a rough time of it lately. She has MS and has had a set back. She's working really hard with her therapist now, no doubt she'll be stamping up a storm in no time!!

The picture of us was taken a couple of years ago at our stamping retreat in Minnesota.

Here's an ATC I did for another swap I'm in with some of my friends. The theme was a holiday, any holiday you wanted to do from Jan., Feb., or March. I decided to do New Year's. I got these cute little calendars at SkyBluePink at the beginning of the year. I think they're sold out now though. I knew I wanted to make little fridge ATC calendars with them as soon as I saw them!
Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets - Cherubs (flourish) Tim Holtz ATC Number. Paper - GP white, Basic Grey for the scalloped backing on the calendar. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose. Acces. - old dictionary paper, SU! felt flowers, ribbon, Tim Holtz Game Spinners and brads, blank playing cards- I adhered the stamped background to these cards to give the atc stability, pink foil trim from the Speckled Egg, red staple, old magnetic business cards cut in half and glued to the back of the atc, any kind of magnet will do. Tools - SU! scalloped circle punch, Nestie scalloped rectangle.

I hope you have a fantastic day, thanks for stopping by!

Fall...brrrrrr, spider lily & Halloween decor

Today is the first day of Fall, it's so nice outside. I was out taking pictures and really enjoying it. But, it reminded me that cold weather is around the corner, and I ran back inside, LOL!! I was going through my image stash and found this quilt block by Lockhart stamps I had colored. It had all the cut pieces with it, so I put it together for a chilly weather post. I used the pin and sentiment from the Crafty Secrets Sew Special set. The background stamps are SU! Flannel Plaid and Aida, both retired. It is nice wrapping up in a warm quilt in the winter. I have some beautiful handmade quilts in my cedar chest's and a couple I made several years ago on the sewing machine, no way do I have the patients to make a full size quilt by hand!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ While I was outside this morning, I took this picture of a Spider Lily in my flower bed. It does look like a spider laying on his back with all the legs sticking up.....geeez...that gave me the chills just thinking about it, I hate spiders, sorry all of you spider lovers out there, I can't help it!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to show you my Halloween decorations on my Hoosier. I had so much fun dragging out all of my stuff and playing, I hope you like it!I hope your first day of Fall is as beautiful as it is here in Arkansas!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm baaaaaack......

HOLY COW, was it ever hot in Texas!!

I had so much fun with the girls that met at Tex's house last weekend! We did some stampin', some chattin', some shoppin' and site seein'!! Tex and Ron were the best hosts, thanks for a great time you guy's!!

See my new picture on the side? The girls decided I needed a new avatar and Anna Wight said she'd take the picture......I was in awe when she sent them to me, I have always loved her photography! Thanks again Anna!

I took several pictures, I'll upload a few at a time. These are the ones taken on Friday when I got there, and a tag I made while I was there.

Sherry Cheever and I made a tag with some Ranger goodies after looking at a technique on T!m Holtz's blog.

Stamps: Pirate Hanna and Trick or Treat mini by Hanna Stamps and Tim Holtz stamps by Stampers Anonymous.

We took the tour of the School Book Depository Museum in Dallas where Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed JFK. The top floor, 1st set of windows is where he was when he fired the shots. We weren't allowed to take pic's inside, it was really interesting to see!

Here we are at the Grassy Knoll next to the building where there was a puff of smoke seen by some that day, hmmmmm.
L to R Shannon, Kristi, Tex, me, Sherry and Judy. Hey Sherry, where's your shades, LOL!!

I've been having internet issues at home, hopefully they will be fixing it soon...pfffft! It's hit and miss when I can get on, very frustrating!
Stay turned, I'll upload some more pics at the cattle drive in Ft.Worth on Saturday, shopping pic's and pic's from Tex's house!
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

I ordered the can and all the alpha's from ePaperie. They are just the cutest, perfect size to cut out or just stamp for scrapbooking, altered items or cards. Each letter has itty bitty accent stamps to decorate it with, so stinkin' cute, I just love them! When you click on the ePaperie link above you can see all the letters up close.

DD/DDA Challenge for February

Give a Shout Out!This months DD/DDA challenge is to use stamps designed by fellow Dirty Girls or CASE a Dirty Girl use Spring colors and no die cut machines like Cuttlebug, etc.

I chose to use a new stamp, Rose Bouquet by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper and a backgrounder Scalloped Lace by Lisa Strahl for Cornish Heritage Farms.

I love the sweet rose bouquet by Anna, it can be used for so many occasions. I thought it went well with my oval Nestabilities dies. I put a tiny pearl by K&Company on the cuff that holds the flowers and some Hydrangia Dew Drops on the side. I used my Copic markers for the coloring, the sentiment is a rub on by SU! from the Eastern Elegance sheet. I embossed Lisa's lace backgrounder with detail white EP by SU!, the detail on the stamp is amazing, and the embossing really makes it pop, I love it!! The ribbon at the bottom is by May Arts.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
ETA: I disqualified myself from this challenge, LOL!
I used the Cuttlebug with the Nestabilities dies, pfffft!! I've had this card done for at least a week and didn't even notice what I had done until I was commenting on another challenge card!!

Happy Love Day!

This is the first time I have made one of these little cans, fun, fun, fun, and the fruit was yummy too! I bought a 4 pack of Del Monte Cherry Mixed Fruit at Wal-Mart. I used my Pampered Chef can opener, it opens cans without a sharp edge, and opened the bottom of the can, ate the fruit and washed the can. I put some candy inside and glued the bottom on the can with a tiny bit of E6000, just to make sure it stays on. I used patterned paper from the Little Girls 8x8 kit by Cosmo Cricket and wrapped it around the can using red line tape. I glued the rick rack from Wal-Mart on and made the tag with my SU! tag punches and the tag stamp from the Happy Heart Day set.

The card is made using the Scallop Notes Cards and Envy's by SU! Those are really cute cards with the scallops on the bottom edge, I love the size too, 4x2 3/4".

Look at the cute stamp! It's by Anna Wight, one of our very own Dirty Dozen Alumni girls on Splitcoast, she has numerous stamps at Whipper Snapper! If you have not checked out her stamps you need to, they always make me smile! This one is called Single Heart Tulip, so sweet! I paper pieced the tulip and pot and used my silver Spica glitter pen for the highlights on the hearts, and my red one on the scallops on the bottom edge of the card and the tiny hearts on the tag. I paper pieced the hearts on the corner of the envy too. I used my large scallop oval Nestibilities dies to cut the red Cosmo paper and confetti cream card stock. The Mellow Moss buttons are by SU! with tiny paper strips threaded through the holes.

I hope your Valentine's Day is filled with lots of hugs and kisses and chocolate too!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

birthday boxes

Are you ready for the trick or treaters tonight?? I am, I just have a few that come by, since my kids are grown I don't get the crowds like I used to. But, it's fun seeing the little goblins, I think the parents have just as much fun as the kids!

I had to have this stamp, I LOVE the stacked boxes. It's by Inkadinkado, I got it at a LSS. You can use it for birthday's or Christmas, any occasion where there is gifts involved! The image is colored with Copic markers from eclecticPaperie, the sentiment is from Crafty Secrets A Sexy Little Number set, get that from eP or Sassy & Sweet Crafts. The glitter around the image is Martha Stewart's Brownstone. The ribbon is by May Arts from StarLitStudio.
I hope y'all have a SPOOOKY Halloween!

got ribbon??

All of us paper crafters LOVE ribbon, right? We have yards and yards and spools everywhere and are always looking for the best ways to store it, which is part of the fun!

I have a friend, who has more ribbon than she cares to talk about, I can't tell you her name, it's TOP SECRET ;) She is so generous with ribbon too, sending gifts of ribbon to her friends. She is the one who made me the ribbon hoarder that I am, and I thank her for that! I sent the card out to her this week. I thought of her the minute I saw the tiny Jolee's ribbon spools!

I got the Bella image and patterned paper a while back from Lisa Zappa. I found the tiny ribbon spools at Hobby Lobby, they are those Jolee embellishments, there are several to a package along with little snippets of ribbon. The word bubble or what ever you call it :) is from the Party Queen set by Crafty Secrets, the alpha stamps are the SU! Rough Edges Alpha set and the small flowers are from the Green Thumb set by PaperTrey Ink. There is Martha Stewart turquoise glitter around the word bubble. The image is colored with Copic markers, you can get those from eclecticPaperie or Ellen Hutson, LLC.

Have a great weekend!
