I finally found me a column cactus, now, hope I can make it live and maybe even grow! They had some cute castus gardens for sale at the airport in Phoenix when we were coming home from CHA, but, I couldn't talk Tex into carrying it home with us on the plane.

I got this hydrangea to plant by my swing. I hope I can keep this one alive. I used to have some that were huge and I quit watering them so much, bad mistake I guess, they do love water.
I love to dry the blooms, they make the prettiest bouquets!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If there is a car lover in your life this IS the set for you! The set will be available this week, just check out Crafty Secrets for the set, it's a large set.
I paper pieced the car and added the film strip with 3 of the cars in the set. I made the film strip with Tim Holtz's new Sizzix die, Film Strip Frames. I knew I had to have this die when I saw it at CHA. I think I'll get a lot of use outta this one! The 66 sign is cut out and popped up with a foam dot. I used some of Tim Holtz's idea-ology sprockets to build the car bling. The flags are cut out and I put a wave in them, so they're dimensional and waving in the wind.Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Car Classics (it will be up on the Shopatron site at Crafty Secrets this week). Paper - CS Radiant Paper Pad, GP white & black cardstock. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Antique Linen, Copic markers. Acces. ~ Tim Holtz idea-ology Sprocket Gears. Mermaid ~ Crafty Secrets

Good morning! It's so close to the weekend Thursday, and this weekend is a good one!
The Folk Festival is going on in Mtn. View. We go every year and browse around looking at the booths full of crafts, antiques and just about anything you can think of. Ohhh, the venders that sell all the yummy deep fried twinkies and oreos and funnel cakes and the corn dogs and....dang, I'm hungry! It's all so bad, but, oh so good! There is folk music on every corner, musicians come from all over to set up and play. If you're into folk music this is the place to be!

I pulled out my Crafty Secrets Mermaids set and made this card with the cute little mermaid in the set. She has the sweetest face, a little girl mermaid. There are several mermaids in the set along with sentiments and seashells, alot to work with!

I cut the card and layers with Spellbinders Labels 8 dies and the scalloped circle with my Marvy circle scalloped punch. I shabbyed up the edges with Ranger Distress Vintage Photo ink and a blending tool.
I painted Glossy Accents on the water and sprinkled on some glitter to give it more shine.
I hope you like her!

Supplies: Stamps - CS Mermaids. Paper - CS Pastel Paper Pad, SU! blue, GP white (Walmart). Ink - Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, Black Soot, Copic markers. Acces. - vintage lace, lace flower, vintage button, linen thread, Gloosy Accents. Tools - Spellbinders Label 8 dies, Marvy scalloped punch, Scor-Pal, Big Shot, blending tool.

Fairy Dust is a Must ~ OCL

Good Morning stampers!

Smiley from millan.net
I know it's been awhile since I've posted, but, I've been so busy with stuff.....so much going on this time of year. Mainly yard work, trimming, planting, weeding, sneezing, wiping nose...not really, I don't have allergies, lucky me, huh? (knock on wood)
I realized I've never posted this card on here. So this is a good time to do that since I've been in the yard in my free time lately! The set is called Fairy Dust is a Must by Our Craft Lounge. This little fairy is SO STINKIN' CUTE, don't you think? I had some fun with her wings and the Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles.
I stamped her twice and cut out just the wings, glittered them up and adhered them to her wings on the stamped image. The Cosmo Cricket paper Earth Love Mini Deck with the mushrooms go so good with this set.
Here's a closeup of her sparkly wings.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Fairy Dust is a Must. Paper - GP white, brown, Cosmo Cricket Earth Love Mini Deck. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Copic markers. Acces. - Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles, clear gem stickers, button, brown twine, ribbon. Tools - Scor-Pal, sewing machine, corner punch, blending tool.

I hope you have a fun weekend, I'm sure going to do my best to have a fun one!
