Wonderful Pig ~ Crafty Secrets

Good Morning!
I have a whimsical Valentine to show you today.
This is the Wonderful Pig small stamp set by Crafty Secrets.
This little guy (or girl) cracks me up!
The set is not a Valentine set, but, it's easy to make any kind of set you want out of it.
I paper pieced the pig and gave him some angel wings from the Altered Fairies Creative Scraps. The cut out words on the heart and the xoxox across the bottom are from the Message on a Bottle small stamp set.

The chipboard heart and photo corners are from the Sweet Chips Chipboard Die Cut Shapes.

These are the Copic markers I used to color the stamp background behind the pig.

Supplies: Stamps - CS Wonderful Pig (I don't see it on Shop-a-tron yet, ask Sandy about it), Message on a Bottle. Paper - Neenah Solar White & pink cardstock by Bazzill, Bittersweet 6x6 pad by Basic Grey. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick, Copic markers. Acces. - Sweet Chips Chipboard Die Cut Shapes, Altered Fairies Creative Scraps, glitter, white pom-pom trim, buttons, Martha bakers twine, Wilton's heart doily. Tools - Spellbinders Labels 4, double scalloped punch by EK Success, blending tool, Tim's Tiny Attacher.

Challenge 50 ~ sketch ~ Our Craft Lounge

Good Morning, TGIF!
It's supposed to be in the upper 60's this weekend, I'm SO ready for it. I just wish it would stay that way! I'll be glued to my computer on the back deck in my swing watching the CHA news! Our Craft Lounge has a booth there and The Arevalo's will be there from Inspiration Emporiam ordering up a storm for their store, I can't wait!
Today is Our Craft Lounge Challenge day, are you ready to play? This week it's a sketch challenge. If you're not at CHA in L.A. you should play along, you could win a stamp set of your choice. Go to The Lounge to see the details!
Here is this weeks challenge. If you upload to Splitcoast, be sure and put OCL50 in your keywords, so we can see all of the uploads in one spot. I used the Vintage Valentine set and I used my Spellbinders pendant die for the image base. I haven't used that die in awhile and I thought it would work for this sketch. I did the Cracked Glass technique on the main image. You can get the tutorial at Splitcoast by Beate Johns. It's a great vintage look!
Here are the Copic markers I used.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Vintage Valentine, background stamp by Stampers Anonymous. Paper - confetti cream by SU!, light aqua by Bazzill, Conservatory 8x8 pad by 7gypsies. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, VersaMark, Copic markers. Acces. - clear embossing powder, Kaiser Pearls, white seam binding colored with a Copic marker. Tools - Spellbinders Pendants Renaissance Hearts die, butterfly punch by Martha, circle cutter, sewing machine, heat tool, Scor-Buddy, blending tool.

Sending inky love to my friends at CHA, and hugs to those of us who were left behind...lol.

Wizard of Oz tag card ~ Crafty Secrets

Good Morning!
I see Sandy has posted about the Crafty Secrets CHA sneak peeks and deals going on for retailers. Check it all out here!
Hmmmm, do any of these characters look familiar?
The Wizard of Oz is one of my all time fave movies! I watched it every year when I was younger, and it's still on every year. Have you ever watched it while listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album? I digress...
I made this tag accordian card with the new set, it's being released in February!!
I cut and scored 2 pieces of patterned paper from the Crafty Secrets Pastel Paper Pad. I used my Sizzix Super Scalloped Cresent tag die and put the die right on the edge of the score hanging over just a tad and run it through my Big Shot. By placeing it over the edge a tad it keeps the 2 pieces together, to open like a card. I punched holes in one end of each piece and laced them together with ribbon.
If he only had a Brain.
If he only had a Heart.
If he had courage.
Supplies: Stamps - CS Wizard of Oz, distressed background by Stampers Anonymous. Paper - CS Pastel Paper Pad, Neenah Solar White CS. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Antique Linen, Copic markers. Acces. - ribbon, paper doilies, white crepe paper, bingo card, Twinkle Stickers by A muse, paper flower, buttons, white string, for the flowers ( Glimmer Mist, vintage sheet music, sewing pattern tissue). Tools - Marvy scalloped circle punch, Sizzix Super Scalloped Cresent tag die, Martha leaf punch, paper distresser, Scor-Buddy.

Stay tuned for all of the sneak peeks of the upcoming goodies being released in February!

little valentines ~ our craft lounge

Good Morning!
Valentines Day is next month, can you believe it? That means Spring is just around the corner, YIPPEE!!! I'm so ready for Spring!
I've got some little Valentines to show you using the Our Craft Lounge Hearts & Hugs stamp set.
I did this fold, I'm not sure what it's called, a diaper fold maybe, I dunno. It's a great little candy holder though. You can make them any size, but, you have to start with a square piece of paper, I used 4" squares. Double sided is best but, you can use single sided and then cover up the white. I used a couple of the hearts in the set and stamped some of the sentiments inside them. This set is great for this because there are so many hearts and cute sentiments!

These little Valentines are perfect for kids to give to their friends or you can give them to co-workers and friends.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Hearts & Hugs. Paper - confetti cream, Fashion District Mat Pad by Me & My Big Ideas, Early Bird Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket, Webster Pages Seaside Retreat, Garden Gala & Nature's Storybook Collection Pack. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Tumbled Glass, Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Dried Marigold. Acces. - buttons, Martha bakers twine. Tools - 2 1/2" square punch, Glue Dots, bone folder.

There are some fun new things going on over at The Lounge including a Guest Designer spot, you have to check it out!

I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!
