Farm Chicks ~ Crafty Secrets

Have you seen the Shop Hop going on over at Splitcoast Stampers?
Crafty Secrets has a lot of sales, give-aways and freebies!

I made this card with the new Farm Chicks stamp set, what a fun set! I L O V E the checked stamp, it makes great backgrounds. I didn't use any patterned paper on this card, oh, the horror, LOL! You really don't need any when you have great background stamps to play with. There is a wire fence stamp too, another cool background stamp!
I stamped the rooster head stamp with Ranger Distress Fired Brick ink. I stamped it again with Black Soot. I colored the rooster head with Copic markers, cut it out and adhered it to the main image with a foam dot to give it dimension.

Supplies: Stamps - CS Farm Chicks. Paper - confetti cream and black cardstock. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Copic markers. Acces. - May Arts ribbon, red hemp, vintage buttons from my stash. Tools - SU! Word Window punch, paper distresser, Round-it-All, Scor-Buddy, sewing machine.

Crafty Secrets December Design Team Challenge

Happy Monday!
It's Crafty Secrets Challenge time again, this month we are doing a calendar theme. I love making calendars and figuring out cute ones to make for friends & family.

I started off with a desk calendar using Vicki Chrismans 3D Shadow box kit from Crafty Secrets.

You can order them already cut and ready to start altering, FUN! (link below)
I used one of the frame pieces from the kit on the side and traced another one on some Crafty Secrets Radiant Paper Pad paper that matched, so I had the same windows on each side. I used my Artsy Banners stamp set to make the little 2011 banner, I stamped the script writing on the banner before I cut it out. The background is stamped with the new Floral Art stamp set. I cut out 2 images from the Calendar Creative Scraps with my circle cutter for the sides.
If you're like me you have Prima & Kaiser flowers running out your ears so I decided to use several to make my flowers. I colored each flower with my Copic R59 marker to match the patterned paper.
I printed out the 2011 calendar from the CS website, cool and vintagey, love it!

Supplies: Stamps - Floral Art, Artsy Banner, SU! mini alpha & numbers. Paper - tan & burgundy cardstock, CS Radiant Paper Pad. Ink - Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, Copic marker R59. Acces. -3D Shadow box frame kit, CS 2011 calendar download, Prima & Kaiser flowers & leaves, Kaiser Pearls, A Muse twinkle stickers, buttons, linen thread. Tools - Creative Memories circle cutter, blending tool, glue dots, Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle (lg), Tim's Tiny Attacher.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is a calendar dress fridge magnet. I've made several of these, this one is all polka dotty.
I used Crafty Secrets Sweetchips Chipboard Little Girl Dress. I covered it with paper from the CS Radiant Paper Pad and I went through my stash for all things black and white polky dotty.
The calendar is one that you can pick up at banks, insurance offices etc.
I glued 3 magnets on the back with E6000 for extra hold. They look so cute stuck on your fridge!
Supplies: Paper - CS Radiant Paper Pad. Acces. - CS Sweetchips Chip Board Little Girl Dress, brads, ribbon, rick rack, calendar, magnets, clip, button. Tools - Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle (lg), tracing wheel, Crop-a-dile.
OCLDT44 ~ No Peeking
Happy Friday!
I've got an Our Craft Lounge sketch card to show you, the sketch is brought to you by Kendra Wietstock! You can play along too for a chance to win a OCL stamp set of your choice, check out The Lounge to get the details!
I used the sweet tag set No Peeking, a must have for your Christmas tags, they are so cute and fun!
OK, so you may be thinking this card doesn't look anything like the sketch, but, I was totally inspired by Kendra's card to make this one! Instead of the main image I made the bow and added a strip of ribbon going vertical. I wanted it to look like a gift with a tag, see?
Too make the bow I cut pieces of ribbon, made loops and stapled them together in the center with Tim's Tiny Attacher. When I had them done I stapled them all together with a regular stapler, then, I made the little top loop and glued it on.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL No Peeking. Paper - confetti cream & celery cardstock, Webster Pages Waiting For Santa & Sweet Seasons Petite Papers Combo Pack. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic markers. Acces. - ribbon, Gellyroll Stardust pen, Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles, crystal stickers. Tools - Tim's Tiny Attacher, stapler, Scor-Buddy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a card I made for the OCL Valentine release. I love this sweet love set, the kids are adorable.
I used Tim's Vintage Shabby Paper Stack, mmmmm, yummy!
I made the rolled flowers with MFT's flower die.
The die makes these flowers so easy, a great tv watching project!
These are the Copic markers I used.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Vintage Valentine. Paper - Neenah Solar White, pink & grey cardstock, Tim's Vintage Shabby Paper Stack. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Copic markers. Acces. - ribbon, Kaiser Pearls, pink heart stick pin. Tools - Spellbinders Labels 4 die, Fleur-De- Lis punch by EK Success, Martha leaf punch, MFT flower die, stipple brush, Scor-Buddy, sewing machine, blending tool.

Hearts & Hugs ~ OCLDT43

Happy Friday!
It's Our Craft Lounge challenge time, OCLDT43. The card sketch is brought to us by Broni Holcombe. Make sure you check out The Lounge for details, you can win a stamp set of your choice ya know!
See the chocolate lips? I used some Coffee Bean Crafty Sparkles to get those chocolate kisses!
Doesn't that look like an exclamation point to you? The heart and lips stamps were placed on the stamp panel just like that and I thought it looked like a cute exclamation point, so I went with it :)
I used some teeny tiny pom pom trim, I can't remember where I got it. I checked Cindy Lyles store, but, didn't see it there so it was probably from my LSS when it was open.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Hearts & Hugs. Paper - vanilla & lavendar cardstock, Webster Pages Petite Papers Collection Combo Pack. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Copic marker E57 for the lips. Acces. - Coffee Bean Crafty Sparkles, trim, Kaiser flower, button, linen thread. Tools - sewing machine, Scor-Buddy, slit punch, circle punch, blending tool, glue dots.

I hope you have a great weekend, more shopping for me.
Only 2 more Saturdays till Christmas!

Vintage Christmas Cookie Cutter Ornaments ~ Crafty Secrets

Happy Monday!
I'm showing you the ornaments I finished up today.
I put them on a 2' tree that I put on my Hoosier in my kitchen. I started with these vintage Christmas cookie cutters I've been picking up for awhile now.
I only used the ones I had more than 1 of, I want to keep a collection, who knows I might make some cookies one day, LOL!
I had so much fun with these, gathering my materials and putting them all together, I photographed them on a vintage plastic Christmas doily that has poinsettias all around the edges.

I bought a couple of the cookie cutters with the metal tags on them, they used them for price tags.
I decided to use those and I dug out some more I had to use as the base for my Crafty Secrets Christmas double sided Creative Scraps.

I tied bows with the ribbon around the handles of the cutters, added the tags with the Christmas Creative Scraps punched out & glued on to each one.

I punched some holly leaves and added berries using red buttons, wrapped silver pipe cleaner around a pencil to get it spirally and tucked it in here and there.

I punched some stars and covered them with Martha Stewart white gold glitter.
I tied the gold cord through the back of the handle to hang them from the tree.
Supplies: Paper - Crafty Secrets Christmas Creative Scraps, scraps of pattern paper for the holly leaves. Acces. - vintage Christmas cookie cutters, metal edge circle tags, ribbon, buttons, silver pipe cleaner, sequin snowflakes, Martha Stewart white gold glitter, gold cord, ice floral pick. Tools - Martha Stewart holly leaf punch, Creative Memories star punch, 1 1/4" circle punch.

Fairy Dust Penguin ~ Our Craft Lounge

Good Morning & TGIF!
I have a couple of cards to show you today, first I made a sweetheart card for the OCLDT42 Challenge. The card sketch is brought to us by Kendra Weitstock. Go to The Lounge and check out the details on how you can play and win an OCL stamp set of your choice! Check out the Thank You promotion going on over there too, lots of fun and prizes galore!

I used the cute little fairy again from the Fairy Dust is a Must set, she's perched on the mushroom waiting to be kissed. I added some Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles to her wings to give her some sparkle, I can't help myself, wings and sparkles just go together!
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Fairy Dust is a Must. Paper - Neenah Solar White, apricot, Me & My Big Ideas Fashion District Mat Pad. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Spun Sugar, Copic markers. Acces. - Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles, green twill, button, linen thread, Martha Stewart clear gem stickers, white brads. Tools - Spellbinders Big Scalloped Ovals (sm), Scor-Buddy, stipple brush, stipple brush, blending tool, ticket corner punch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I made this clear card for the OCL booth at CHA. Isn't this little guy a cutie?!
He's from the Penguin Fun stamp set.
A lady contacted me who saw my card in an Addicted to Rubberstamps ad and wanted to know how to make it for her daughter who loves penguins! So, I'm going into a little bit more detail here.
I cut a piece of heavy acetate at a standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 size card with the fold at the top. I took a clean pencil eraser, tapped it on the glue pad, then on the acetate on the card front, then I sprinkled on the glitter to make the sparkly snowballs. I cut my patterned paper with my Spellbinders Labels 8 die, but any die would do. I stamped my penguin on white cardstock, colored him and glued on a little Sugar Sparkly Fluff on the beanie top, cut him out and attached him, the snowball pile and sign to the die cut piece. I tied my ribbon around the top. I cut 3 more pieces of patterned paper to go on the inside front to cover the adhesive, and on the back so there is a space to write on, the 3rd piece is attached to the very back of the card to hide more adhesive.
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Penguin Fun. Paper - acetate, Neenah Solar White cardstock, Tim Holtz Shabby Chic Paper Stack , Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Tumbled Glass, Copic markers. Acces. -Sugar Sparkly Fluff, Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles, Martha Stewart clear gem stickers from Walmart, ribbon. Tools - Spellbinders Labels 8 die, pencil with a clean eraser, Scor-Buddy, glue dots, glue pad.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I hope you have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!
Angel Blessings ~ Crafty Secrets
Good Morning!
Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? We did, too much food, but, lots of family fun! The little ones had the most fun playing together, that's my fave part, watching them having fun.
Now, back to some blogging and sharing what I've made, that is fun too!
Today's card is from the new Angel Blessings set by Crafty Secrets.
Look at all of the gorgeous images in this set! This is defiantly an all occasion set for Christmas, sympathy, wedding, birthday and new baby cards like the one I made here for a baby boy. Man, so many images, so many possibilities!
Isn't the angel pretty, she was super easy to color too. Her wings have glitter on them, of course, you can't have an angel without glitter!
I stamped the white image repeatedly along the bottom with VersaMark and sprinkled on white embossing powder and heat set it. Then I added the Kaiser pearls in the center of each image.
Supplies: Stamps - CS Angel Blessings. Paper - Neenah Solar White, blue, Baby of Mine Mini Papers by Jenni Bowlin. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, VersaMark, Copic markers. Acces. - Kaiser Pearls, A Muse Creative Candy, Martha Stewart glitter, white embossing powder, blue silk ribbon. Tools - Spellbinders scalloped oval (lg) & ovals (lg), MFT open scalloped border, Scor-Buddy, heat tool, sewing machine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I hope you have a great day, it's raining here today, a good day to stay in and create if you can.

Crafty Secrets Christmas Challenge

Good Morning!
It's Crafty Secrets Challenge time again, this month we're doing Christmas. Crafty Secrets has the best Christmas stamp sets, Creative Scraps, Post Card Kits, booklets, so much to have fun with!
My project is a Christmas hanger, I used a large chipboard piece that Sandy sells as my base.
I covered it with Christmas Creative Scraps, I layed the chipboard piece down on the scrap sheet and traced it and cut it out. I made a little house out of an old Bingo card and some more chipboard. I cut out a roof from the chipboard and stamped it with the music stamp from the Artsy Banner stamp set and covered it with Martha Stewart snow and glitter. I covered the Merry Christmas chipboard with Martha Stewart White Gold Glitter. I made the little candy cane by twisting red and silver pipe cleaners together.This is the sweet little Santa from the Christmas Mail stamp set. I stamped, colored, cut him out and put him on the ledge. I painted my ledge which is wood trim from the doll house dept. at Hobby Lobby and fence with my Snow Cap Paint Dabber.
I made the little banner using my Artsy Banner stamp set. The little snow couple in the heart is an image from the Christmas Creative Scraps. I squeezed some Crackle Accents on the image so it would crackle.
Supplies: Stamps - CS Artsy Banner, Christmas Mail & SU! Rough Edges Alpha. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Vintage Photo and Copic markers. Acces. - Large chipboard piece, Merry Christmas Creative Scraps, Scrap metal frame by Autum Leaves, wooden fence and trim from Hobby Lobby, Adirondack Paint Dabber in Snow Cap, Diamond Dust glass glitter, Martha Stewart White Gold glitter & snow, Merry Christmas chipboard by Maya Road, vintage button, red silk ribbon, jingle bell, vintage tinsel for the hanger, red & silver pipe cleaners, Martha Stewart bakers twine. Tools - blending tool, hole punch, circle punch, snowflake punches.
