Glamour Girls ~ Crafty Secrets

Happy Monday to you!
The count down is on to a long weekend
Today I'm showing you a tag I made with the Crafty Secrets Glamour Girls & Flourishes stamp sets.
I used my alcohol inks by Ranger on the Heidi Swapp ghost shape flower and one of tim's
fragments. I stamped this ladies head and cut it out to fit behind the fragment that I had added my alcohol inks too. You just sqeeze on a few drops on your felt tool and tap it on the fragment, I did the same on the ghost shape flower.
Here's a close-up of the fragment
and flower. I used my Distress inks on the tag and stamped the images with Distress inks and my Pearl Paint Dabber. I colored the lady with Copic markers.

Supplies: Stamps - CS Glamour Girls, Flourishes. Ink - Ranger Distress Fired Brick,Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, Black Soot, Adirondack Alcohol Inks Cranberry, Red Pepper, Blending Solution, Inkssentials Opaque white pen, black pen, Copic markers. Acces. - tag, tim Fragments, Heidi Swapp flower Ghost Shape, Kaiser black gems, big black brad, black ribbon, black beaded trim. Tools - blending tool, felt tool, paper piercer.

Have you heard the news? There's a new store in town and they have all of the Our Craft Lounge stamp sets and products, plus many more goodies!
Their Grand Opening is today and they have freebies and discounts going on.
Go check them out!
It's the Our Craft Lounge Friday challenge day!
The sketch is based on a card by DT member Lila Holgate.

I used the Fabulous Florals & Say It with Flowers stamp sets, yummy Websters Pages paper I got at the GASC in TX. and alot of distressing!

I stamped the flowers and leaves, cut them out and dirtied them up with Ranger Distress Vintage Photo. I added Antique Linen Distress Stickles to the top 2 flowers. I dirtied up the ribbon with a blender tool and Walnut Stain ink. I did faux stitching on most of the edges of the paper with a tracing wheel.

Head on over to The Lounge to see the details on how you can play and win!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is my sweet grandson riding the horsey. This horse has been through all of our grandchildren. We got it at a flea market in perfect condition about 11 years ago. I'm always so anxious to drag it out for the newest grandchild when they get big enough to ride it!
He's enjoying his frozen Koolaide thingy, what are those called? I love 'em too!
Hey, what's Dad doing out there with the 4 wheeler?!
LOL!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me and my DIL went flea marketing last Saturday and I picked up a few items.
The little pink chick is a pitcher, I love it! I got a little wooden cigar box and a tea box, I'll alter the tea box, I hate to cover up the little cigar box though. The green thing is a type of flower frog. I'm planning on doing some fairies and standing them up in it. Plastic pink rocking horses will be used in an altering project and the rocking chair pin cushion will be altered too. I love a good flea market day. I had some pictures of the inside of a couple of the flea markets, but, I can't find them. I'll have to take some time to find them or reload, argh!

Crafty Secrets DT Technique Challenge

Good morning!
Are you ready for another Crafty Secrets challenge?
I am, I can't wait to see what the other DT girls did!

This month we're doing technique challenges...Is folding paper a technique? Hmmmm, I think so! I promised I'd do a step by step on the fortune teller/cootie catcher. I remember playing with these so much we'd wear them out, we made them out of notebook paper though.
Here we go....

Here are a few pictures of the finished fortune teller. I used the Price Tags set to stamp the numbers, the flower from the Kitchen Classic set for the colors and several sets for the inside sentiments.
1. You need a square piece of pattern paper, the thinner the better.
I used a 6x6 piece of double sided paper here.
2. Fold the paper in half to make a triangle.
3. Fold it again to make a small triangle.
4. Open the paper up.
5. Fold 2 of the corners to the middle.
6. Fold the other 2 corners to meet in the middle
7. Turn it over.
8. and fold those corners to meet in the middle.
9. Work your fingers in the spaces underneath and you have your fortune teller.
Now it's time for your numbers, colors and sentiments. We would write our own fortunes inside back in the day, but, when you're a stamper you gotta use sentiments.

I hope you have a wonderful first day of Summer, it's supposed to be 100 today, GLG!

Crafty Secrets Party Cats & GASC

Good afternoon, I hope your Monday has been a good one so far.
I have a Crafty Secrets card and a few pic's from the GASC in TX. to show you.

I made my card with the Crafty Secrets Party Cats stamp set, this is a cute set for a cat lover. I love the vintage images, and the sentiments are cute and funny!Like the one I used on my card, cute, huh?
I made the flower with sewing pattern pieces I punched out with my circle scalloped punch, I stapled them together in the center and sprayed it with Patina Glimmer Mist. I dried it with my heat tool, scrunched it up and added the rolled flower to the center.

I covered the chipboard scroll by Maya Road with Martha Stewart Yellow Gold glitter. I got the background stamp at the Stampers Anonymous booth at the GASC, I stamped it with Antique Linen Distress ink and then I stamped my cats over with Black Soot Distress ink and colored them Copic markers.

Supplies: Stamps - CS Party Cats. Paper - Webster Pages, Confetti Cream, Prism, gp white. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Copic markers. Acces. - sewing pattern pieces, Martha Stewart Yellow Gold Glitter, Patina Glimmer Mist, mini scroll by Maya Road, vintage lace from Vicki. Tools - paper distresser, tracing wheel, scalloped circle punch, Martha Stewart lace border punch, Scor-Pal.

Here's a pic of Joy, me and Tex. No, that's not a spot on my top, it's from the camera, really!
I had a lot of fun with my friends, I just wish it would have lasted longer!

Here is Vicki, Sandy and me. I don't have a clue what I was doing here, maybe I was laughing, trying to get taller, I dunno. See Vicki, this is the better picture of you, LOL! She was joking, saying she would only upload the better pic's of herself, LOL!

Here's Vicki doing the make n takes, I sat in for her when she needed a break or wanted to walk the floor. The booth was crammed with ladies every day, sooooo busy!

Here is Mr. Scott, Sandy's hubby. I wonder what he's doing, hmmmmm, LOL!

This is the Texas Rangers Stadium.This the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. It's farther away than it looks here. Look at the parking lot in front, see the teeny, tiny vehicles? That place is huge!
We could see both of the stadiums from the Convention Center. They are so different, the Rangers Stadium so gorgeous,architecture from long ago and the Cowboys Stadium looks like something from the Jetson's, LOL!

Hmmmmm, I wonder who these magic hands belong too? Smiley from millan.net
