OCLDT37 ~ Our Craft Lounge

TGIF!
Good Morning, another Friday has rolled around and it's time for the Our Craft Lounge Friday sketch challenge. This weeks sketch is brought to you by Denise Marzec.
I wanted this card to have a Halloween theme, my last Halloween card for the year.
I used the OCL On the Fence set, there are so many cute stamps in the set to build scenes with. See the strategically placed tree branch and owl? I stamped the sentiment and one of my bats ended up looking like he came in for a bad landing, thanks to black ink on my stamp block, ugh. I used my Super Scalloped Cresent Tag by Sizzix for the card, I placed my folded paper a little over the edge of the die and ran it through my Big Shot to make a card. I had some fun with Crafty Sparkles Ice Crystal on the moon and Eyeliner Black Sparkly Fluff on the cat.

You wanna win a new OCL stamp set? Check out The Lounge to find out how!

Supplies: Stamps - OCL On the Fence, sentiments from the Little Boogas set. Paper - Neenah Solar White, MME The Spiders Web. Ink- Ranger Distress Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Rusty Hinge. Acces. - Eyeliner Black Sparkly Fluff, Ice Crystal Crafty Sparkles, May Arts ribbon, black Kaiser Pearls. Tools - Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle large, Sizzix Tag Super Scallop Cresent, Martha branch punch.

I had to make an ATC for my collection, I haven't made one in awhile and I love them!

Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Copic markers & Copic Opaque White (I painted the little girls fur with it). My son & DIL got me this old window frame at a flea market. Krystle painted it and I added the pictures and the flowers. This is our family a long time ago, the kids senior pictures and the ol' standby picture of me and Terry.
I have it hanging in my craft/computer room above my computer, I love the shabbyness of it!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I hope you have a screaming good week, thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Secrets October DT Challenge & give-away

Good Morning!
It's time for the Crafty Secrets DT challenge for October, this month we're doing sewing.
I love sewing on my projects, I need to take the time to do it more.

I'm still going with the Halloween theme, I get in as many Halloween projects as I can before it's over. I love everything about Halloween, especially seeing the little goblins and their smiling faces!

I'm doing a give-away!
You can have a chance to win a kit I made of the supplies to make my Crafty Secrets door hanger for Halloween! I'll give you the deets below.

I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween door hanger for the little goblins to see when they knock on my door Halloween night.
See the little ledge? I love how Wendy Vecchi uses these little ledges on her projects. I asked her what she uses and she told me it was wood trim from Joanne's. Well, I don't have a Joann's here so I went to Hobby Lobby. I was in the miniature doll house section and they had this trim for doll houses, PERFECT! The trim is unfinished and in long pieces. I cut it with my Tonic scissors and colored it with my black Copic marker and sanded the edges with my t!m sander.

Supplies: Paper - CS Radiant & Earthy Paper Pads. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic marker. Acces. - wooden door hanger, Paint Dabber Pitch Black to paint the hanger, CS postcard chipboard piece, CS Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps, wooden bird, black crepe paper, Martha black glitter, Prima flowers, black brad, black eyelet, black Kaiser Pearls, 7gypsies key, tim key holder, little glass bottles, Pumpkin Delight & Eyeliner Black Sparkly Fluff, Scrabble tiles by EK Success. Tools - sewing machine, 1 1/2" circle punch, Tim Holtz filmstrip frames die by Sizzix, Tim sander, blending tool, Crop-a-Dile.

Check out what the other designer's have done, I can't wait to see!
Make sure and check out the Crafty Secrets blog, Sandy has a free download and a give- away too!

This is the give-away, it's a kit to make a Halloween door hanger like I made for the challenge. Everything's included except the black paint I used to paint the hanger and the black glitter that I put around the crepe paper on the punched circle that's on the bird. I'm giving you a full sheet of Halloween Creative Scraps so you'll have plenty of images to make some more Halloween goodies! And, I'm throwing in a cute Halloween stamp that I got at Michael's.
All you need to do is comment on this post and tell me your fave Halloween candy you got as a kid or your fave now!
Don't forget to leave me your email address so I can contact you. I'll pick the winner on Thursday, Oct. 21st.
If you're the winner and you have any questions about the hanger, email me and I'll be glad to help!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Photo Album ~ Crafty Secrets

Good Morning!
I have a little album to show you today.

This is what my desk looked like for a few days while I was creating my Crafty Secrets album. It was a creative mess! I'm happy to say it's all cleaned up now, pheww.

Sandy sent us some of the Maya Road chipboard albums she's selling now, so I picked this one to go along with the new Vintage Photo Creative Scraps. The only photo's I used in the album are the ones in the CS sheet and I still had a few left over when I was done for a few cards!
No stamping here, just inking up edges and coloring seam binding with my inks.
I used lots and lots of vintage papers, lace and buttons...
little chipboard pieces, puzzle pieces, pins and glitter...
Prima flowers, Kaiser pearls, gems and crepe paper.
The sentiments are so funny and sweet!
