Mornin'! Yes it is, and it's C O L D, blech
It's also, Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker!! You can find all the deets on the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog! Make sure and check out the other DT blogs to find the blog candy! YIPPEE, eh, I mean ARRRRG!
Broni - Splashes of Watercolor, Candy - Candy's Land, Joan - Stamping with a Passion!, Jules - Stampin with Inky Fingers, Kittie - Kittie Kraft, Linda - Linda’s Works of Heart, Shelly - Stamp with Shelly, Sherry - Walkin' on the BAD Side, Tami - A Walk on the Mild Side, Tex - Savor the Journey
I think this will be the last Halloween card I make for 2008, ummm, maybe not I've got the Haunted House stamp, from Rubbernecker, a creepy house, I think it would make a great background for an ATC!
This card is a little spookier than usual, I love spoooky halloween stuff, you need spooky for Halloween! I love this image and sentiment by Stamp Oasis from Rubbernecker. The tree is kinda creepy, don'tcha think?! I used my alcohol inks on glossy cardstock for the background. The colors I used are Mushroom, Terra Cotta and the Gold Mixative. I embossed the tree with black embossing powder, stamped the tree again on white CS, cut out the moon and I covered it with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and popped it up with a Dimensional.
Look at this skull bead, I was so excited when I saw these, now if I could just remember where I got them, pfffffft!! Anyway, I hung the bead from some t!m holtz hardware, LOVE his hardware! I cut the chain to make it shorter so it wouldn't hang off the card. The card measures 5x5.

I was browsing the Weight Watchers and Hungry Girl sites this morning and found this. How cute are those and $5 of every bag purchased is going to the Susan G. Komen for the cure! Lean Cuisine dinners are yummy too!

It's the final countdown to FRIGHT NIGHT...hope y'all stay safe...

Me?! WOOHOO!!
YAY!! Miss Bad Sherry herself asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer for Rubbernecker Stamps.....uhhhhh......YES, DUH!! LOL! I had the hardest time picking out my stamps, geeezzz, so many beauties to choose from! When I finally whittled it down, I was giddy waiting for them to arrive! Oh, BTW, enough of me and my stamps, LOL...ARRRGG! Its Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker!! Dang, I've always wanted to say that, LOL! You can find all the deets on the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog!
I think y'all probably know by now that I love Halloween and I melted when I saw this sweet little stamp, it's by Stamp Oasis and it's called Little Lovin's Trick or Treats. I made a candy holder to hold this package of wax bottle juice drinks, remember those? I used to love these, I haven't had one since I was small, I think I need to break into these and try one!! The tall package with what looks like tiny M&M's inside is actually chocolate sunflower seeds! Ever heard of that? Not me, until I saw them at Cracker Barrell and snatched them up for a paper craft project, LOL!
For the wax bottle holder I cut my eggplant cardstock 6x11 and scored at 2 1/2" from the top, again at 4 1/4", 3/4" and again at 3 5/8". I covered the front with my Cosmo Cricket Haunted and Halloween Words paper by Junkitz. I matted the Copic colored image on black, glittered the edge with Martha Stewart Onyx glitter and adhered it to the top flap. I adhered the bottle package inside with mono adhesive. I tied some Cosmo Cricket ribbon on a t!m holtz clip and use that to keep the holder closed. All the candy in the baskets is colored with my Spica glitter pens.
I wrapped the top of the choc sunflower seed container with cardstock, paper and ribbon. I made the tag from cardstock and Cosmo paper, I put some black Magic Mesh on it, a screw brad and a jumbo eyelet. I stamped the trick or treaters and cut out little Frankie, colored him up and put him on the tag with Dimensionals.
Have a happy Tuesday y'all, thanks for stopping by!!

Crafty Secrets DT Challenge!
This month Vicki Chrisman our DT leader wanted to do a Girlfriends Challenge! Sandy Redburn from Crafty Secrets
is doing a give-away on her blog , you need to check it out!
Sandy is donating $1 from every Support the Girls stamp set purchased to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Support the Girls is a fun set to make cards and gifts for your girlfriends and family. It's also a good set for support of survivors and those who are going through breast cancer.
I decided to make a calendar, it's a reminder to do the weekly self breast exam. You could hang it in the bathroom or bedroom as a reminder. I've highlighted each Friday to do the exam.
I used 1 piece of the Sweet Chips Chipboard Square Albums & Frames for the base and covered it with SU! Regal Rose cardstock. I used the square word stamp from the Support the Girls set to make my back ground paper. I stamped it with Regal Rose ink on white cardstock. This is so easy to do with the clear stamps, I didn't have to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig, you can see exactly what you're doing!I printed the free 2009 calendar download that Sandy has on the Crafty site, cut it, stamped each page with the swirl from the Mini Memories set and highlighted each Friday with a pencil eraser and RR ink. I used the image from the Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes booklet, it just cracks me up!!! I cut the RR calendar base with my Nestie die and put Perfect Pearls on the scallops. I glued the pink clip on with E6000, you can remove the calendar when the year is over without destroying your project! I added the white flowers and stick pin by SU!, pink paper roses, pink crystals hanging from the bottom by Heidi Swapp and pink satin ribbon by Martha Stewart.
Make sure and check the other girls blogs using the links below and see what they have done with this set!

Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge!
It's my turn to do the Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge over on SplitcoastStampers. If you want to play along in the challenge go to the Hanna Stamps forum using this link! Upload your picture to your gallery and put HSC39 in your keywords so we can see them all in one place. make sure you put your link in the HSC39 thread. Have fun! I decided for this challenge we would make ATC cards. They are little 2.5 x 3.5 baseball size cards. I love doing ATC swaps, it's a great way to get a good collection of them and some great ideas! I made an album for mine, you can see it here.
I used the new Diet Sophie G stamp, she just cracks me up thinking about that cupcake she ate! I used SU! Ruby Red, So Saffron and GP white card stock and paper from Daisy D's Brighten My Day 8x8 paper pad. I used my tracing wheel around the edges for the faux stitching. I used a tiny red Dot Sparkler on top of the cupcake and my Spica Clear Glitter pen on the frosting. I put Glossy Accents on the scale dial and dots of gold Stickles on the scalloped edge.

Crafty Halloween ATC
Halloween is almost here! It's on a Friday this year, that will be good for the little ghosts and goblins, they can stay up late and eat candy!!
I'm in an ATC swap with some of my friends and I decided to use my Crafty Secrets Halloween Fun set. This is the sweetest little witch I've ever seen, she's defiantly one of my fave Halloween stamps! The tiny bats, pumpkin postmark and sentiment are in the set, among others. I used my Cosmo Cricket paper Haunted and matching ribbon, Cindy has this kit on sale now too! The ribbon is the skeleton that the sweet little witch is looking at. The witches hat has Martha Stewart white gold glitter on it and the Martha Stewart bat punch has Martha onyx glitter on it. I love Martha's glitter! I'm looking forward to getting my friends swaps, I know I'll love all of them!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a buckeye tree in my yard and the buckeyes are falling off the tree now. I picked these up and rinsed them off. I cut the pod off the tree so you could see how they grow. The pod has several buckeyes in it when they are ready to fall it opens up and they drop out.
They are such a pretty color, when they are dry they turn a very dark brown. Buckeyes are supposed to be good luck if you carry one with you. I made some necklaces with them several years ago. You need to be careful though, they are poisionous, don't let little ones have them and don't try to eat them! You can read all about them here.
In celebrating Hanna Stamps 1st birthday I wanted to make a special Halloween tag card using my Riley's! I got my Cosmo Cricket paper & ribbon kit in and I couldn't wait to get started. I got my new Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Skeleton Scroll & the cute buttons in the little bottles by Rusty Pickle. I cut all the circles behind the Rileys with my Creative Memories circle cutter, I used the SU! scalloped border punch. The Rileys I used are Vampire Riley, Witch on Broom Riley and Pirate Riley I used my Fastenater and copper staple bars to staple the ribbon on, I wanted them black so I colored them with a black Copic marker.
These words were on the bottom strip of the Haunted paper and I cut them out for the tag front. I paper pieced my Riley's costumes, they look real spooky that way, LOL!
All of their horns are covered in Martha Stewart Onyx glitter, along with the pirates eye patch and his parrots beak. The Rileys are colored with Copic markers.
I stitched the buttons with linen thread and adhered them with glue dots.
Hope you liked the tag card, it was fun to make, especially with those cute Rileys!!
I did a little flea marketing last week and found a sock monkey kit, I've been wanting to learn how to make these! I got some cheap buttons, the gorgeous stitched iris picture and a wooden wall hanging with little wood houses in it. I'm sure I'll figure something out for that, it's already shabbied up, I need to add some paper I guess to dress it up a bit!
