For this post I decided to alter a paperweight. I really like making these, they are small and they serve a useful purpose and make great gifts, I love how the work is magnified too. I used a vintage paperweight I found at a yard sale/flea market. I've seen them new on line, but, I seem to have pretty good luck finding them in my junkin' quests!

Here's a picture of some I've picked up. The heart shaped one is by Avon, it's the 2nd one I've found.

Supplies: Stamps - The Girls Tim Holtz Collection. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo ink pads, Copic markers. Paper - Neenah white. Acces. - vintage paperweight, tiny clip by SU!, Spica glitter pen, crystals, lace, glass glitter, the word smile cut from an old childrens book, Grungeboard Elements (crown), Silver Metallic Paint Dabber (the crown is painted and then sprinkled with the glass glitter), chipboard coaster for the backing, E6000.

Well, I better be going, off to work.
Life in the fast lane.

Have a great day!

This is a great project, Pam. I haven't thought of trying these before. Thanks for the great inspiration. I could see tiny little scenes in those.

I LOVE THAT CROWN!!!

I will have to keep an eye out for these--the new ones are pretty pricey--never thought to look for *vintage* ones!!

I love this vintage collection under glass! What a too-cool idea! And the fact that you've just 'found' them on junkin' sprees is really eye-opening! Way to go!
