garden journal tin & flowers

I got one of these cool tins from eclecticPaperie
sometime ago and decided I wanted to alter it with

I love the gorgeous creamy colors in these images, just the look I was going for here. I've been using my Prima flowers lately, I had stopped using them for some reason. I got all my bottles and containers and emptied them into 2 big jars, I think by doing that I thought I should be using them. I put Antique Linen Distress Stickles in the centers of the flowers, my fave color! I used vintage lace and I wove some Martha Stewart ribbon through the lace and added a vintage shank button, I put the ribbon through the shank. For the inside I cut a tablet to fit and I cut it off enough to leave room for a pencil or pen. There is a strip of paper and some Prima's on the top. I made a pocket with Crafty paper, added 2 garden images on the pocket and put the seed packets inside.
The garden journal image is all crackly, I used Ranger Crackle Accents, just squeeze it on spread it evenly, let it dry and you have crackles!
I picked up the copper plant tags in the Target $1 spot a few years ago. The big clip has a vintage button with twine tied through the holes on the front and a chipboard circle covered with Crafty paper on the back.
Supplies: Paper - Pastel Paper Pad. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain. Acces. - tin, vintage lace, buttons, Martha Stewart ribbon, Prima flowers, Crackle Accents, Glossy Accents, Antique Linen Distress Stickles, copper plant labels, big paper clip, seed packets. Tools - tracing wheel, 1 3/8" circle and scalloped border punches, paper distresser, blending tool.

This is a bouquet I made from irises, pink dogwood branches and lilacs from my mom's yard.

We had a fun weekend at mom's, the Folk Festival was going on, thank goodness the rain held off! We had birthday party for Jasmine, she turned 2 on the 16th. She had fun opening her presents and playing with her sister, friend and cousin.
I hope y'all have a great week, thanks for stopping by!
