OCLDT24 Vintage Traveler

Good Morning!
TGIF!
It's Our Craft Lounge DT 24 and I've got a manly card to show you for this sketch.
I wasn't thinking a manly card when I started, but, it turned out that way. That's good for me because manly cards can be tough.

This week the sketch is based on a card Kisa made. Go to The Lounge , check out the sketch and the rules, now could be the time that you are a winner!

I had fun with this pocket watch. I stamped and colored it a little and added the Glossy Accents for the crystal. I tried one with Crackle Accents and tried to dry it with the heat gun so it would crackle faster, what a disaster, I had to start all over with the watch. I thought tim's idea-ology hanger made the perfect watch chain. (Oh man, I just noticed on the closeup of the ticket stamp, Troy, that's my brother's name)

Supplies: Stamps - Vintage Traveler (at Archivers now), Nature's Note for the sentiment. Paper - kraft, teal, confetti cream, Webster Pages Petite Papers (my new FAVE papers) Lullaby Lane & Life's Portrait Collection. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic markers. Acces. - brown twine (Walmart), brads, tim idea-ology hardware, Glossy Accents. Tools - blending tool, Scor-Pal, Marvy Giga scalloped circle punch, CM circle cutter, hole punch.

my altered bracelet

Hi
I've got an altered bracelet to show you.

I'm thinking I'd like to make some items to sell here on my blog. I need to make some moolah to cover all the thousands ofSmiley from millan.net I've put into this fun little thang I'm into and maybe bring a smile to someones face.
So if you're inclined, go to my FOR SALE post on the left, the crafted item's will be at the bottom of the list, check it out and shoot me an email.
I got these plastic bracelets at a $1 jewelry store in Heber Springs a year or so ago. I've hung on to them knowing I wanted to do something with them. Now's the time, since CHA's going on now and I've been working so hard getting my samples out, I took a break and made something just for fun.
I used all tim holtz supplies except the brads in the centers of the flowers, those are retired SU!, the tissue tape, paper, flower die cuts are tim's.

Have fun checking out all of the CHA chatter this week and have a great day!

OCLDT23 Butterfly Kisses

Good morning, TGI
Smiley from millan.net
It's time for the Our Craft Lounge DT23 sketch.

I used the new Butterfly Kisses set that will be available after CHA, or if you live by an Archivers you can get it there now! I used 5 stamps from this set, the butterfly, dandelion, outline box, tiny word background and sentiment.

I covered the dandelion with a mixture of Sparkly Fluffs, it's fun to customize your colors. I used 24k gold, lemon drop yellow and sugar. I colored the white seam binding with Ranger Distress Bundled Sage ink.
Tip: Cut a length of seam binding, pick your ink and run the blending tool down the seam binding skipping spots and adding more color to other spots to give it a distressed look. You can always have the perfect color of ribbon!
Go check out The Lounge and get the details on the DT challenge, you could be a winner!

Supplies - Stamps - OCL Butterfly Kisses. Paper - vanilla, yellow, Webster Pages Petite Papers Combo Pack Lullaby Lane & Life's Portrait. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Bundled Sage, Antique Linen, Copic markers. Acces. - Sparkly Fluff 24k gold, Lemondrop Yellow, Sugar, Amuse Candy Twinkle Stickers, white seam binding. Tools - Zutter Round it All, Scor-Pal, scalloped border punch, blending tool.

It's Crafty Secrets Challenge time!
This month we're using new CHA product.
I decided to use the new double sided Garden Creative Scraps to make this chipboard hanger.I covered the chipboard hanger with the part of the Creative Scrap that is not colored and added some colored images or I colored them and added them. I colored these flowers, cut 2 of them out and popped them up with dimensials.

Supplies: Paper - Crafty Secrets Doublesided Garden Creative Scraps. Ink - Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, Copic markers. altered pincushion rocker ~ a free stamp set ~ crafty secrets

Good Morning stampers!
I have an altered pin cushion rocker to show you today and a Crafty Secrets stamp set give-away, I'll give you the deets at the bottom of this post.
I picked up the rocker a couple of weeks ago, here's what it looked like before I altered it.
I see them from time to time and this one was little and cheap, so I got it just for the Sew Nice scraps.

I used the new Sew Nice Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps to cover the rocker. I took the seat cushion off and covered it with some vintage tatted linen I had in my stash. I used my glue gun and I've got the scares to prove it, ouch!

I made the flowers with my Martha Stewart Cosmo flower punch, I punched a bunch of Creative Scrap scraps, stapled them in the center and then I glued on the vintage buttons.

I used more vintage buttons for the pins and I added a couple of charms.

Supplies: Paper - Crafty Secrets Sew Nice Creative Scraps, green cardstock for the leaves. Acces. - pom-pom trim, vintage buttons, tatted linen, wooden spools of thread, printed twill, pins, charms. Tools - Mod Podge, Martha Stewart cosmo & leaf punches, glue gun.

Under Lock & Key ~ OCL & Archivers

Hello stampers!
I hope y'all had a great weekend, I did, I was all wired up on a steroid shot for my poison ivy. Man, it really kept me up and hopin' and eatin' and eatin'....ugh.
This is a card I made on my steroid high, LOL
It's a CHA sneak peek sorta from Our Craft Lounge. The Archivers stores already have this set Under Lock & Key, it's the featured set at Archivers for July & August. If you are near Archivers you can go get this set before it's released at CHA!
This set has several antique looking keys and keyholes, it's so cool!
I embossed the key holes and key thats tied up with the ribbon on the heart with black embossing powder, and colored them with my Copic markers. Did I mention I'm going to the Copic Certification Class in Branson, MO in September? I sure am, I can't wait to see Lori Craig again, I didn't get to chat with her too much in Cali, so much going on. Branson will be fun, it always is!

I used my new Bricked Texture Fade by Tim Holtz on the background paper, love, love, love it!
I colored the chipboard heart with a Copic marker and added some Chunky Red Crafty Sparkles.

Supplies: Stamps - OCL Under Lock & Key. Paper - Confetti Cream, black, Tim Holtz Lost & Found Paper Stack. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Walnut Stain, VersaMark, Copic markers. Acces. - Chunky Red Crafty Sparkles, Maya Road stick pin, Maya Road chipboard heart, , Tim Holtz Bricked Texture Fade, black embossing powder. Tools - paper distresse Scor-Pal, blending tool, hand held hole punch.

OCLDT20 ~ Flower Power

Good Morning!
TGIF and a long weekend at that, WOOHOO, I'm so ready for it!
It's Our Craft Lounge DT challenge Friday.
I made this weeks card using the Flower Power stamp set. I had to have this set when I saw it. It really brought back memories for me! The peace signs, lava lamps, incense, black light posters, tie-dye, elephant leg jeans, I could go on and on, but I won't! Smiley from millan.net
This would be the perfect set to make cards for your friends and family if they were a product of the 60's and 70's.

I stamped one of the peace signs in the set and cut it out, then I glued on the tiny Prima flowers. The flowers were a cream color, I didn't want that so I colored them all with my Copic marker, YR04. I punched the border on the bottom of the card with my Martha Stewart flower border punch. I didn't punch all the way to the edges so the bottom piece would stay in place with the white CS showing through. I really liked the look.
The background is stamped with some of the single flowers in the set. I love to use the tiny stamps in the OCL sets for backgrounds.
You need to head on over to The Lounge to check out the details on how you can win an OCL stamp set!
Supplies: Stamps - OCL Flower Power. Paper - gp white, apricot, MME Abby Road, Lucky Me. Ink - Ranger Distress Black Soot, Dried Marigold, Copic marker YR04. Acces. - Prima flowers, Kaiser pearls, ribbon. Tools - Scor-Pal, Spellbinders big Scalloped Ovals (sm), Round-It-All, Martha Stewart flower border punch, blending tool.
