Today I'm showing you my Inspiration Emporium door hanger I made for the October monthly challenge, Halloween decor. I thought it would be nice to hang on the front door.
I love Halloween and all things spooky!
I've had this vintage bingo card on my table for awhile, actually I have a bunch of these I got on eBay, they are super thick.
I left the card as is and started adding the goods.
I cut the umbrella man and the mini birds and cage with the Alterations Sizzix dies.
If you look closely in the cage there is a dead bird ;) I embossed the cage with silver embossing powder.
The skull is from Tim Holtz Apothecary stamp set. I stamped him with Archival Jet Black ink, cut him out and added ink on the edges to distress him a bit. I drew his hat on some paper from the Lost and Found paper stack, added some black cardstock and embellished it with idea-ology mini fasteners.
The "enter" word was made with idea-ology type charms. I snipped the bale off each one.
I added a flower, foliage and gear to his eyes.
I punched 2 holes at the top and attached the lace chain.
I put a key hole and key at the bottom. I glued a piece of paper behind the keyhole.
I was lucky enough to find an old Halloween children's book at a flea market. I found the sentiment in it, I dare you to!
So, it's saying, enter, I dare you too.
