magical memories

Happy Sunday bloggers!
I've got another journal page for you and some junkin' finds!
I did some double stenciling on this page and paper pieced the clothes on this Dylusional couture couple after I drew on some heads, LOL!
See the huge flowers in the background? I used the Oh Christmas Tree 5x8 stencil and the tree in the stencil for each petal and colored them with paint dabbers, each flower is a different color.

After it dried, for this pink flower I laid down the Christmas tree stencil back over the pink petal and laid The Crafter's Workshop Mini Spring Fling stencil over that and dabbed on white paint.
I really love the look!

stamps - dylusions love struck lucy (the circles around the border), dylusions basic backgrounds, dylusions man about town & night at the opera, date stamp.
paper - tissue wrap (in center of the page), dylusions art journal, mme fiddlesticks 6x6 pad, fancy pants park bench 6x6 pad.
ink - dylusions vibrant turquoise, pure sunshine, archival rose madder, aquamarine, jet black, distress vintage photo, sakura micron 08 black & gelly roll white pens.
acces. - red pepper, pitch black, aqua, pink sherbet acrylic paint dabbers, acrylic antique white, yellow & aqua paint, kaiser pearl, chit chat verbages
tools - dylusions 5x8 oh christmas tree & 5x8 dotted flowers stencil, tcw mini spring fling 6x6 & chickenwire stencils, fine tip water brush, blending tool.
I did some junkin' this past weekend and I scored some fun things.
I've always liked the glasses Miss Vicki buys on her junk trips and thought it was a fun idea to use them too, not just put them on display.
I've discovered they are harder to find around here than I thought. I want the heavy ones that still have the painted stuff on them and are in good shape. I have something new to be on the look-out for, that's always fun!
I found this plastic doily, another stencil to add to my stash!
The little girl head wall pocket, she's so cute! I have crates and crates full of wall pockets. I started collecting them years ago. I hung them everywhere, when we painted for the first time and I had to take them down I decided I didn't want to hang them all back up, now I have a few of my faves up. The only time I'll buy one is if I don't have it and its cheap. I really need to have a wall pocket sale!
I got this little awl, love it, I use a lot in my crafting, you'd be surprised how handy they are. The small trowel, I'm going to use it for molding paste, gesso etc. It has a good feel in my hand, I think I'll like using it. I've never seen one this narrow.

I picked up this yearbook to use for an art journal, I like to use the small ones for smaller stamps, there's not so much blank space to try and fill.
The first few pages are written in. Seems this man was trying to eat better for high blood pressure and his Dr. must have given him a recipe for a "magic oil".
I'm not going to cover the few pages he's written in, I love finding stuff like this.
If he only knew I was reading his book :)
Don't forget you can upload your creation using stencils or masks until the end of April at the Inspiration Journal for your chance to win $50 in goodies from the store.
It's always fun being a winner!
Thanks for looking!

wonderful work pam, love how you have made the clothing so real and so textural with the plaid design. Make's it feel as if the image has been cut from fabric.

Oh, I love this page so much! This couple is so sweet, and the colors you've used are wonderful. Looks like you found some great treasures. I'm ready to go junkin' too! I think spring brings that out in us.
