I said I'd probably start putting my not so bumpy, lumpy tags I make in my art journal?
this is it....
I tried out some new supplies I got recently, Tim's classis faves #6, around the border of the page (looks like Inspiration Emporium's out of stock right now, but, you can contact them to be added to the list), some faber-castell water color pencils and some liquitex molding paste, mixed media goodness I got at Hobby Lobby!
You can click the link above to see the supply list for the tag.
I glued the 7gypsies paper to the page with Claudine Hellmuth's multi-medium matte then I stamped the borders with Archival coffee ink on to white cardstock. Before I glued that down I got some molding paste and added a little bit of pink sherbet paint from thepaint dabber and mixed it up, looks like strawberry icing! Then I got out my plastic doily I got at a thrift store, someone took a lot of time to crochet around them. I got 5 of these I think for cheap and a couple of them were tore so I used it for my stencil, worked like a charm!
I laid down the stencil and scraped the molding paste on with an old plastic card and lifted it up, then I heat set it with my heat tool. I love the dimension!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope y'all have a beautiful Easter. Were having a non-traditional Korean meal here, too bad my sister-in-law is not here to fix it for us, her cooking is just scrumptious!
I thought I'd sqeeze in another 3D project for the Inspiration Emporium March challenge before St. Pat's Day.
I was searching for jewelry for the big day and came across several necklaces that I knew I could recreate with my goods from Inspiration Emporium.
I thought it was a great idea to have this to wear if you didn't have a green outfit.
I made my shamrocks from a heart in Dylusions Love Struck Lucy stamp set. I stamped them on shrink plastic with Archival jet black ink, I drew a stem with a black Copic marker and colored them with a green Copic.
I spilled the little vial of glitter only once before I got smart and glued the cork in!
These corked vials do not have a bail on the cork for the chain to go through. So, I took a straight pin and stuck it through the bottom of the cork, I cut of the point off the pin and used my pliers to bend it around and make a bail.
acces. - cream acrylic paint, (for the inside and edges of the boxes), claudine hellmuth gesso (for distressing the metal pieces ), kaiser pearls (on butterfly body) barbara tombley's vintage glass glitter in indian summer (it's inside the tall vial), distress stickles antique linen (it's rubbed on the flower, leaves and butterfly),idea-ology findings - mini lantern, curio knob, frame, box feet, pen nib, corked vials (1is filled with glitter, the other is a vase for a tiny bouquet), fractured doll. chit chat stickers (for the sentiment), vintage game pieces, plastic monkey, vintage button card with tiny buttons, wooden spool and white string.
Every Easter my family and my brothers family would head to mom and dad's for a visit and the Easter egg hunt. Mom would always have the eggs colored and ready to go, happy memories! This year I'm getting the grands a mini Scentsy Buddy instead of all that candy, oh, I might get a few things :)
I got out my Alterations mini bunny die for this tag, he's perfect for all the Easter cards, tags and gifts.
I've decided to put my tags I make in my art journal as long as they're pretty flat, I can make a background and glue the tag on the page. I have them hanging on a big binder ring and I think this will be a better way to display them. So the next time you see this tag it will probably be on a journal page.
I've got Dyan Reaveley's new couture stamps coming, and some of Prima's new stamps, paper, flowers, etc. on pre-order, I can't hardly wait!!
March is the time for shamrocks, leprechaun's, Easter bunnies and Spring, awwww Spring!
I used some Dylusion's stamps, inks and stencils for this journal page
along with some other goodies.
While I was making this I was thinking about the Lucky Charms commercial, "they are magically delicious". I haven't had that cereal in forever, I always loved it. I need to buy a box and bring back some yummy memories :)
Keep your eyes peeled over atInspiration Emporium, the new releases will be here before we know it!
You can pre-order some of them to get your name in the pot first!
Don't forget my coupon code ieirisgarden for your discount, woohoo!!
