Fairies & chit chat

I was at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and I got this paper weight for $1, it's dated 1983 & says Avon in the glass. It's domed and I knew what I wanted to do with it the moment I saw it! I've been admiring Vicki Chrismans little fairies she's been making in the wooden spools and I wanted to make some. I got these 2 pictures of me and my brother and scanned them. The one of me was taken in our yard when we lived in High Ridge, outside of St Louis. I was sitting on a blanket, looking up and taking in the fresh air, LOL! I used various Crafty Secrets stamps for the crown, hat, wings and wand.
I stamped the wings on paper from the Radiant Paper Pad and cut them out.

Supplies: Stamps - Crafty Secrets Party Queen (hat), Altered Art (wand), Favorite Fellas (Troy's crown), Cherubs (wings). Paper - Crafty Secrets Radiant Paper Pad. Ink - Ranger Distress Walnut Stain and Copic markers from Hanna Stamps, ePaperie or Ellen Hutson. Acces. - pink pom-pom, pink Martha Stewart glitter, rick rack, Dimensionals, Crystal stickers.

This is my birth announcement. My mom had sent it to her sister when I was born and my cousin gave it to mom not long ago, I am so thrilled to have it! The book on the card front opens and my picture is inside. The card opens and my birth info is inside. In the hospital they put a little bea bracelet on my wrist that had my last name on it. Hmmmmm, where did I put that?!

Are y'all ready for the big weekend? I sure am, I love long weekends! I'll be roaming around looking for sales and flea markets I haven't been in for awhile!
Have a safe 4th, thanks for stopping by!

Those little fairies are the sweetest! Vicki has been doing some really cute ones and that definitely gets a person inspired! I have my baby bracelet but can't remember what I did with it and I have a pair of little pink felt shoes that were mine too and a little komona with hand embroidery on it. I don't remember seeing a birth announcement but then I probably came along before they did that. That's all I have of my babyhood.
