I used some of the images in the new Hanna Stamps Sweet Celebrations set, that's being released Friday January 4th, to make this set of 3x3 cards. I love the cute Valentine images in this set. You can really use the images for a variety of themes like baby and even wedding cards! The sentiments are from the Things Hanna Would Say set. The box is from SU!, it's from a retired set of boxes and tags or something like that. I covered it with Basic Grey Motifica paper. I used Cosmo Cricket Little Girls 8x8 paper collection and my Marvy scalloped punches. I'm loving the Cosmo Cricket paper, it's my new fav!!! The ribbon is by SU! and Martha Stewart. The box will hold 4 cards and envys. I used Ranger Walnut Stain Distress ink to stamp the images and colored them with Copic's. I distressed the white card stock with my Antique Linen Ranger Distress pad using the DTP technique. I sponged the edges of the scallops with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
I want to wish y'all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! We always take our Christmas decorations down and put them away on or close to New Years day. It's a bitter sweet time for me. I'm glad to get the job done, but, I hate to see all the pretty decorations put away. Christmas decorations and tree ornaments bring back sweet memories for me. I have some of my mom's old decorations that we used when I was little and we have the ornaments that my kids have made throughout the years. Sweet memories indeed.
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

Merry Christmas
I thought I would show you my Christmas trees for my last post before Christmas.
I used pattern paper from the Earthy Paper Pad by Crafty Secrets. I cut a slit from the bottom up on 1 of the tree pieces and I cut a slit from the top down in the other, slid them together to make the tree. I punched 2 stars with the new SU! large star punch that's coming out in the Spring/Summer catty. I cut a slit in each star and slid them together. The ornaments are punched with the SU! 3/4" circle punch. I cut a slit half way in each ornament so they could be slid onto the tree. I added a little Scotch Tacky Glue to the pieces so they would stay together. The small tree is cut from the Crafty Secrets Radiant Paper Pad. I painted Scotch Tacky Glue on the stars and poured on yellow gold & tourmaline Martha Stewart glitter.

I remember seeing these plaster of Paris Last Supper pictures a l o n g time ago. I found this one at a yard sale last summer for .10. It was in bad shape, it was painted gold and it was chipped and dirty. I cleaned it up and rubbed Ranger Walnut Distress Ink all over it. Then I sprayed it with Antique Brass Glimmer Mist. I wanted to darken it up it places so I put more Walnut ink on it with a sponge dauber to hit the raised areas. Then I sprayed it with a matte sealer. I like the way it looks now, much better than what it was before!
Now that all the hustle & bustle is over we can finally sit back and enjoy our Christmas' with our families and friends. I hope all of you have someone you love to spend Christmas with. I want to thank you for stopping by and leaving comments and just checking on me and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Dirty December Challenge
Hi everybody!
I did the Dirty Dozen (past & present) monthly challenge for December on SCS.
The rules were to use a penguin, use something icy, and NO blue! It was a fun challenge, there are some awfully cute penguin images on the market, go to SCS and type in keyword DCP1207 in the gallery search and check them out!
The sentiment stamps I used are from Crafty Secrets Vintage Christmas set and SU! Cute Converse (retired). The tree and ornament images are from Hanna Stamps Tis the Season set. I used Crackle Accents on the vintagy card and embossed the Seasons Greetings with Chocolate Chip Craft and clear EP. The penguin pair is by Penny Black. I used white gold Martha Stewart glitter on the ornaments and Spica glitter pens on Santa Penguins suit, he is by Memory Box.
I'm sooooo happy tomorrow is Friday! It's been a long week.
Here's hoping you have all your Christmas shopping done and can have a relaxing weekend!

Crafty Cone & Tag
Hi there everybody, it's Saturday, WOOHOO!
I got to sleep in this morning and woke up to tons of rain. They are saying there may be a winter mix this evening, ugh. We have been lucky so far, we've been so warm lately!
Here is the cone I made with a pattern that Sandy has at Crafty Secrets, she should have it at the Crafty Secrets site shortly! It's perfect for making the hanging cone and party hats, I'll have to try one of those too!
I used a piece of patterned paper from the Crafty Secrets Radiant Paper Pad and traced the cone on it, cut it out and used sticky tape to hold it together. Then I glued on the pink rick rack, lace and I used mini glue dots to attach the buttons. I had a pack of the little wooden alpha blocks and wanted to add one to the bottom of the cone but the blocks were solid and I wanted a bead too. I remembered I had my she-tool that my friends Cindy Lyles told me about by K&S Metals called Her Embosser , it's like a girly Dremil! I drilled the hole for the wire to go through to attach the block and bead, I was so tickled, I felt like Tim the Tool-man Taylor, arr-arrr-arrr! HA! I used one of the chipboard frames from the Crafty Secrets Sweetchips Chipboard Die cut Shapes that's coming out in January. I glued it on a sticker from the Spring Joys sticker sheet and covered the frame with Martha Stewarts Tourmaline glitter. I attached some of Martha's wide pink ribbon for the hanger, ummmm, gorgeous ribbon!
I have been looking at Tim Holtz's blog at his fab tags and decided I would drag out my tags I've been hoarding :)
I did this one Vicki Chrisman style, isn't she amazing?! I sprayed the tag with Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist, soaked it and dabbed it with a paper towel and did that 2 more times. I used a picture of Jasmine from her big sisters birthday party I had printed and cut out. I stamped it with Crafty Secrets Altered Art and Cherubs stamp sets and I used SU! Rose Red and Close to Cocoa Craft ink. Added my paper, chipboard, glitters, buttons, lace and ribbons. It was a lot of fun to make, I think I'll be doing more of these!
Be sure and go leave a comment on Anna Wight's blog, it's her turn for the Crafty Secrets give away, you never know, you may be the winner!
Have a great weekend everybody, stay warm and shop safe! Thanks for stopping by!

Peek-a-boo 2
Here's another Hanna from the Hanna Stamps Perfect Package set. She stuck the bow on her head so she wouldn't lose it *grin*. I used paper from the Basic Grey Figgy 6 x 6 paper pad, eclectic Paperie has it on sale now! I did paper piecing and used some Turquoise Martha Stewart Glitter for some sparkles. I colored her with my Copic markers. The For You sentiment is from the new sentiment set Things Hanna Would Say being released Friday Dec. 14th along with the Perfect Package set. I love these 2 new sets, there are so many sentiments to choose from and the possibilities are endless with the Perfect Package set. I added some teal baubles in the top corners and 1 at the end of the sentiment. I didn't put any on the bottom corners of the image, I didn't want to do bauble over-kill! The top background paper is stamped with SU! Teal Craft ink. I'm on my way to having all the SU! Craft pads, I need just a few, YAY! I love the Craft ink for embossing with clear EP.
Tomorrow is Friday, WOOHOO, I'm so ready for it!
Don't forget to watch for Hanna Stamps new releases tomorrow!
Have a happy Thursday, thanks for stopping by!

Peek-a-boo
Oh, looky here would ya?
Isn't this just the cutest set? It's a sneak peek of the new Gift Giving Set that's going to be released Friday, Dec. 14th along with Things Hanna Would Say the new sentiments set! I think this Gift Giving Set is my fave so far! Hanna looks so cute sitting all cross legged wrapping her gifts. I love all the wrapping accessories that come with this set. There are 15 stamps, boxes and bows a tag and all the other stamps you see on my wish book. She can be used for any type of gift giving card, scrapbook page or project! I know you'll have fun with her!
This is a Target notebook, I know everyone has seen these before. I used Daisy D's patterned paper from the Chasing Butterflies 8x8 pad. I took one of the die cut flowers and glued it to some chipboard and cut it out, to make it stronger. I did paper piecing, a favorite technique I like to use with Hanna. I colored her face, skin and hair with my Copic markers. I used SU! buttons and May Arts ribbon.
I hope y'all have a great day!
I'm officially done with my Christmas shopping, WOOHOO!
It feels good to be done, too much stress this time of year.
Man, the weather in OK & MO is dreadful, we barely missed it, we've had a lot of rain. If it would have been colder, we would be in a mess just like they are, geeez. I hope those poor souls get power soon and their lives back in order. What a shame, right before Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by and checking on me :)

dressy calendar
I was trying to come up with a new calendar for my refrigerator using the sticky calendars that you can pick up at banks, florists, etc. I had the CUTE chip board dress from Crafty Secrets, YAY! I covered the dress with paper from the Radiant Paper Pad, sponged the edges and used my tracing wheel to do some faux stitching, thanks Vicki and Sandy for the tips!! I used my large rectangle nestability die and cut a base for my calendar. I glued the tiny SU! clips to the dress with E6000 to hold the calendar so I can change the calendar for 2009! Love how that worked out, now I don't have to destroy my dress pulling the calendar off! I glued some vintage trim along the bottom, and stamped the swirl from the Cherubs stamp set on every page of the calendar. The little cup of coffee is from the Kitchen Classics set.I glued 4 magnets on the back of the dress with E6000 so it will stick to the fridge.
You can get the Crafty Secrets stamp sets from Sassy & Sweet Crafts and ePaperie!

I collect way too many things (besides stamp and scrap stuff)...but I love Vera Bradley purses I think I have 12 of them. Also flip-flops...I live in Florida and you can wear them almost all year round, so I have every color and style. One thing that I am always obsessed with is designer paper, but then I reason with myself and talk myself out of using it, its crazy lol :)

Rainy Hanna & Friends
REMINDER - Don't forget to go and comment, tell me what you like to collect on my Crafty Secrets give-away here I'll name the winner Wednesday night December 5th, good luck!!!
I have had so much fun reading what all of you collect, I think we are all collectors of something! I have collections of a lot of the same things you do. Hmmm, maybe we should have a collector's swap!
I'm so happy that Jeanne Streiff and Sherry Cheever have joined the Hanna Stamps design team! They are both super stampers and fun ladies, welcome aboard girls!

Hanna and friends are ready for the rainy weather. She is paper pieced. I like doing this technique with Hanna, her clothes are a nice size to cut out!
It's been raining here today and was so nice and warm, in the 70's, now it's c o l d, boooooo-zeeeeee! My friends up north have a lot of the white stuff. Better them than me!! I know some of them just love their snow, not me, I strongly dislike winter weather, blech!
I've been busy putting up our Christmas tree today and doing a little decorating. I finally finished my button tree. I bought a styrofoam cone and I used my brown, white and pink buttons and attached them to the cone with white straight pins and set it on a candle holder. I saw this on someones blog and I wanted to try one, I love buttons and I thought it was so cute! It did take me a lttle while to finish it, but it was a good TV watching project.Bunchie had some fun helping me take pictures . She's into everything, she keeps me on my toes!
